Signs Are All Around Us!

Pay Attention to Your Life

It’s amazing how many signs are actually around us on a daily basis that we miss.  Sometimes it’s because:

  1. We aren’t paying close enough attention to our lives
  2. The signs aren’t speaking loud enough for us
  3. We are ignoring them

Any one of these prevent us from experiencing what could potentially be an empowering personal growth opportunity.  These signs sometimes create those “aha” moments that we all seek,  those moments that lead us to a higher understanding and level.  I absolutely love those moments and I am constantly looking around for the greater reason behind all of my experiences in every part of my life because I know it’s there.  There are times when I am fully engaged and paying attention and still cannot see the signs.  Sometimes this is because I am too closely connected to any given situation to  have the clarity I need but I persevere because I am very committed to finding my reason for being.  I believe that in the grand scheme of things we are all connected to each other through a higher level, a higher sense of being, a higher power,  it’s just a matter of tapping into it.  Paying Attention!

Our inner voice is always whispering to us and when I don’t pay attention, I get a shove, not literally, but one that says “hey, start listening to me”.   I’ve had times when I really disregarded my inner voice and ended up in an emotional and/or physical state of being that could have been avoided if I had been paying attention to the signs within and around me.  Our inner voice, gut instinct, intuition, whatever you want to call it, is wise beyond what we can understand and every time I choose not to listen I get thumped!  It’s the equivalent of the “I told you so”, except there is no judgment and the consequence is already occurring.

If you have an undesirable scenario that keeps playing within your life like a broken record and you keep ending up in the same place then it may be time to step back and analyze that so you are able to find a more productive and positive outcome.

Knowing how far things can progress in a situation before clarity and insight can finally occur depends on each individual, how in tune they are with themselves and how devoted they really are to getting in touch with their reason for being.

Everyone has their daily routines but don’t go through them blindly, our lives aren’t just supposed to be existing, they should be a living experience.

  • Be fully engaged
  • Be committed
  • Be aware
  • Ask questions
  • Pay attention

Time Out! Working Moms

Finding balance in today’s world is a challenge, to say the least, but extremely necessary to a healthy lifestyle.  Our health depends on our physical and mental well-being.  If we don’t feel good physically or mentally it dims our eternal light.  It’s important for everyone to take a “time out” every once in a while to enhance your life.  It’s during these “time outs” that we recharge ourselves and experience motivation, personal growth and inspiration.

I’ve even had a tough time of it myself this week.  It’s really important to include yourself in the list of people you have to take care of.  How we feel on the inside reflects on the outside and that directly affects the people in our lives.  As much as I want to inspire positive thinking, sometimes I too get affected by negativity when it comes into my realm and find myself unnecessarily snapping at others and that is one of my biggest indicators that I need a “time out”.

If you burn yourself out by not paying attention to your needs then you leave yourself wide open for negative energy to get in and wreak havoc.  When we are well rested, we are strong, resistant and powerful enough to ward off any negativity that could possibly come our way.  Negativity, like everything else, travels in a cycle and our own personal awareness is the beginning of its defeat!

It can be really difficult to find a little or a lot of time for yourself and whatever it is that provides you with what is needed to refuel and recharge your soul is what you need to do.

Because my life is so busy I prefer anything that is quiet and peaceful and hopefully without interruption.  Now this can be a tall order at times, but even a few moments can sometimes help.  It’s like that catnap when working a graveyard shift that gives you the extra boost needed to make it through.

If I could pick and choose, that’s easy – a Spa day! – of course that could get kind of pricey on a regular basis.

So on a smaller scale I could choose 5-10 minutes of listening to a CD of the ocean or a waterfall or anything with nature, for me that is what resonates balance and peace within.  It’s really important to listen to your inner voice. It won’t lead you astray, and if it’s telling you that you need to take a “time out”, then take one.

For myself I need more than 5-10 minutes here and there, but if that’s all you can accommodate to begin with at least it’s a start, an important start.
