Believing In Yourself

You Can Get There From Here

We all have to make compromises in life and that also includes doing what we have to do to get to where we want to be.  We all have to start somewhere and it’s usually at the bottom because how else can you be appreciative and grateful for what you’ve accomplished if you go straight to the finish line?  It is in the middle of those compromises when we are not yet serving our life’s purpose that becomes the necessary steps to get us there.

Of course, don’t think I haven’t wished for it at times, but if I went straight to victory I wouldn’t have had the challenges along the way to mold me into the person I need to be.  There have been many difficult challenges I can think of that I would’ve rather done without because they hurt too much and were unpleasant but they helped to create who I am today and knowing that now I don’t think I would change them.  It’s during difficulty that we find out our true strength of character, integrity and capabilities.

One of my biggest assets that continues to help me on the road to my life’s purpose is the Law of Attraction (LOA).  Visualization is something I’ve always been good at and is one of the keys to being able to attract what you want in life.   Seeing is believing and believing is seeing.  This is something you can train yourself to do, similar to learning how to do exercises properly to enhance your overall health.  Your mind can learn how to visualize, feel the emotions of those visualizations and that can create the outcome you desire.  Part of this process is that you need to follow your life in the path as if you are on the road to attaining these desires.  You can’t just imagine it, do nothing, and expect it to turn out as you want.   You have to take responsibility for the part you need to play, for example you can’t visualize a healthy and fit body and then stuff it with cookies and ice cream.  Same as you wouldn’t expect your car to run great if instead of gas you put in water.  You have to be in alignment with achieving what you visualize.  Don’t be hard on yourself to achieve and attain results immediately,  I still learn new things to incorporate into my process every day.

One of the biggest points that I’ve always felt is important is not just imagining or saying the words but feeling it within, really believing within yourself that what you desire is yours.  You can’t have your subconscious doubting it, every part of your being needs to firmly believe it without any doubt.

I’m sure you’ve noticed others that seem to be living a charmed life and it’s not just because they have had all the breaks or because they have horseshoes somewhere you can’t find them.  It’s because they are living in the positive, they are attracting all that they desire and deserve because ultimately they just believe

One thing to note is that you will attract whatever emotion you are feeding.  Please be very conscious to work hard to NOT feed the negative, you WILL get more of it, that is a guarantee.

Feed the positive, don’t you think you deserve it?

Finding Your Power

Taking Back Control of Your Life

I believe that half of our issues with feeling like we have lost control of our own direction in life lies within taking charge of the course we are on.  It’s a disabling feeling  and it can cause you to lose hope and faith and of course the more you feel that you’ve lost control the more it spirals, it’s a nasty cycle.  I’ve found that the only way to overcome this is to meet it head on and take back my power.  Change that frequency in your brain that is inhibiting you from happiness, it’s as simple as flipping a light switch, and it’s the necessary first step.  I have always been a huge fan of the “To Do” list because it helps me to stay focused and goal oriented.  Whether it is a situation or relationship issue (these two are usually interconnected) , I believe the “To Do” list will be helpful.  It is likely that if you are in the moment of feeling like you’ve lost your power then you already are aware of what area of your life is lacking.

So based on the fact that you are already aware of this these are the steps I use and apply on my list.  My example is based on my goals in life and how I am going to create the process to achieve them.

1)      Write down the goals you want to achieve

2)      Figure out the steps needed to achieve them, similar to a flow chart

3)      Put them in a realistic order suitable to your desires

4)      Take the first steps to enact these goals

5)      Maintain focus and determination, stay strong

It will take a lot of hard work to achieve your goals, but;

Anything worth having is worth working for

–          Don’t doubt yourself

–          Do whatever you need to do to keep yourself motivated and determined

–          If need be, ask a friend to be an ally to help keep you focused

I would suggest to start with the goal that you think is the most attainable first because when you achieve it, the feeling of accomplishment and pride will empower you to move farther ahead and give you that extra boost needed to maintain your focus and desires.

It’s not surprising to me that I’m such a huge fan of the “To Do” list especially since I love writing and also use it as a tool for self-therapy in every area of my life.  In addition to that, writing things down and having that visual cue is a prominent point of the Law of Attraction.  I came across one of my journals a while ago and had some goals written in there that I had long ago achieved and had forgotten about.  It was a great reminder of how far I’ve come and how strong my own personal power is to complete what I set out to achieve.  Another helpful tool is to start a Vision Board and have pictures where you want to get to, alternatively you could create(draw up) a road map with points along the way that mark the mileposts (goals) of where you want to get to.  Either of these are helpful tools because when you see something every day it becomes ingrained in your mind and as in the Law of Attraction, our thoughts are our power, and we have the power to improve every area of our life.

Emotional or Physical?

Healthy Living

Our own personal health is dependent on how we are feeling both physically and emotionally.  We always pay attention to our physical health but sometimes neglect ourselves emotionally and our emotions can directly affect our physical health.  You can go to the doctor when you don’t feel right but if it’s something emotionally based that is affecting your overall health the doctor won’t be able to find what is wrong.  Our emotions are connected to everything we do whether it’s positive or negative.

–          When we are feeling happy it is reflected in our faces, our speech, our aura and we usually feel warm and lightweight inside.

–          When we are feeling unhappy it is also reflected in the same areas but we don’t feel warm inside, depending on the source of the unhappiness and our own unique bodies that feeling inside can range anywhere from stress to depression.

Awareness of your overall health and state of mind is the key to battling any emotional setback that may be trying to inhabit your body.

I think we all know when something is wrong or doesn’t feel right.  Whether you go to the doctor to treat something that is physical or you identify the emotional predator trying to wreak havoc, still, the key is awareness.

I’ve actually had the experience of having something emotional (stress) affect my life in a physical (medical) way.  I can tell you the doctors were completely stumped, as was I.  It was only when I unknowingly made a few environment changes that the source of my emotional ailment was cured, of course this led to the physical ailment completely disappearing.

You can’t even imagine how surprised I was, as well as my doctor, it was only then that I fully realized how much our emotional health contributes to our physical health.

Physical and Emotional well-being should be a very important part of our lives and something that we give much attention to because when we are affected we also affect outwardly to everyone around us.

It was something I had never given thought to in the past but something I pay very close attention to now.

Look for the Positive

We can’t stop things from changing

Everything happens for a reason, and of course that’s not always helpful when the things that happen don’t feel so good emotionally but what can make that emotion worse is not allowing yourself to find the positives.  I know!  I don’t always see them at the beginning either, in fact sometimes I’m constantly questioning and by doing that I prevent myself from finding the peace and balance that lies in the “in between”.

Luckily for me, anything that isn’t positive feels foreign to me, like a sickness, which is something I just can’t put up with.  My stubbornness to have to experience anything like that for too long definitely outweighs my constant questioning and denial so I always find my positive answers and if I’m lucky it doesn’t take me too long to do that.  First things first though, I think everyone notices when something doesn’t feel right within and I think our gut instinct always knows what it is but sometimes our egos tend to think they know better and brush off our initial instincts.  The best route is to try to change that process as soon as you notice those subtle differences.  At first it may take some time to raise that awareness but after a while it will become second nature and next thing you know you are fighting off those awful emotions and finding the good in the situations.

It’s our emotions that will always take us to different areas of our lives and whether or not we want those emotions sometimes doesn’t matter.  You can’t change the way you feel so maybe you should try to change the way you are seeing something.

There’s no point in hanging on to the negative side of situations and I know that it can be very difficult to find the positive in some of them but it’s always there, and what good does it do to not find it?  You’re not going to feel better in fact you’ll feel worse.

I know I would much rather choose happy!

There are so many positive things that we can look forward to and be inspired by in this world.  Sure there are also negative things too but I would rather feed the positive and spread that.  The more we diffuse and push aside the negative the weaker it will get and the less chance it will have of continuing to grow.  It’s what we put out energy into that expands and I would much prefer that what expands for everyone are the positive moments.

It only takes one kind moment to change the course of someone’s day for the better.  If we were all striving to be that person imagine how different our days would be.
