Come to the Edge

I Will Meet You There!

Finding that one soul, the one that speaks to your passion, purpose, faith, integrity, imagination, humor and weird quirks.  It’s not without difficulty and determination that you hold onto the flames that ignite and inspire your heart and soul, sometimes things feel dim, sometimes the light seems extinguished.  It’s not though, it still burns, just not as bright as when you are embracing, breathing and feeling that magical love.

Seeking and finding your “one and only” requests patience and faith, it’s about knowing, honoring and trusting what is in your heart.  Have you drawn a certain picture?  It doesn’t have to be overly specific it just has to resonate and speak to your soul, don’t let go of it!  That look, that moment, it may seem rather fairytale but why not, what’s wrong with happy endings?  They do exist within our reality, within your deepest yearnings, within the corners of your mind, you have to keep believing in it.  As you sift through the many faces to find that one soul you recognize all the pieces then fall into place, you truly feel illuminated and it feels like home.  It’s like you’ve known each other a thousand lifetimes and that soul connection realigns and blends right back together.  It’s not about what one can do for the other, you live to create and nurture those little moments where nothing monumental is happening yet it feels endearing and peaceful because you are so totally connected.  There is no room for negativity like jealousy or control because they do not exist, your hearts are too closely entwined together to come apart by such minor and petty interferences.

You cannot cling too tightly to your vision otherwise your arms will not be open to welcome it in.  The most significant element is to release it, let it go so it can soar, what is meant for you will never pass you by.  Hold onto your faith that divine timing is at work behind the scenes to create and carry this magic into your life.

Better to stay faithful to this vision than be in union and left feeling lonely or sad because the connection is lacking or not there at all.

Just because you can’t see to the top of the staircase does not mean it isn’t there.

I’m fascinated by your love, your light, your heart.

Where do we go from here,,,, and

How do we get there?

It seems important at this time to infuse as much positivity into the world as possible.  Specifically because of the time we are in during this pandemic and especially because of the state of conflict humanity seems to be immersed in over clarity of what matters.

It is difficult to grasp that with all we have been given in this human experience and in an environment that provides us with such beauty and natural resource that this is where we have come to.  How is it that feelings like empathy, compassion and kindness are being overlooked to the point of turning completely the other way?  We should be trying to make all lives better, lifting each other up to come along on the journey with us.

I am by no means pointing any fingers but I feel that this is kind of how things have gotten to the state they are at.  All lives matter!  Division of any kind serves no purpose except to exert power and control.  Change cannot occur until our hearts and minds are advocating compassion for others as well as gratitude for life.

So where do we go from here and how do we get there?

I believe it starts with reflection, checking in with ourselves to see how we each are doing, what we are doing and if there is something we need to change internally, externally or both.

  • Are you living your best life?
  • Are you being your best self?
  • Are you speaking with kindness?
  • Are you listening with heart?

It is not race or gender specific but we are all termed under the label of “mankind” although it should be “humankind” and as all of humankind are you being a kind human?  I think life gets so clouded with trying to run and excel in the human race, sometimes stepping on others while climbing that ladder, that we forget it’s not really a race at all but rather a journey.

  • One that requests but does not demand presence, intention and grace.
  • One that allows but does not enforce empathy to blossom and evolve.
  • One that inspires but does not restrict imagination of optimistic vision.

We all have free will to choose and even not choosing is a choice.

If you haven’t arrived at where and who you wanted to be yet I believe the more pressing question is where are you holding back?  There are boundless opportunities and sometimes you can block yourself from seeing them with your state of mind.  It seems like such a simple adjustment to make but probably the most common difficulty one can face and not for lack of opportunity but lack of belief in self.  It’s astonishing how we carefully construct these prisons around ourselves, how high they become and how difficult they are to take down.

Where is your passion, your purpose, your path?

I have ventured down many but when I come to realize I have made a wrong turn I circle back to find an alternate route.  I don’t view these wrong turns as mistakes or failures I instead see them as lessons, experiences that have been put on my path to help me to find the right one.  Everything happens for a reason and it is my job to figure out what that reason is and how to navigate toward something better.

I don’t want to go in a straight line, I want to investigate all the openings, look for opportunity behind every door, deviate from the plan to find any other and all perspectives because I know somewhere within that magical concoction lies the secrets of ultimate freedom and happiness.

I have been mulling over the subtleties of duality in humanity and soul.  We all inhabit the energy of feminine and masculine as a duality, the blend of yin and yang in each of us as individuals which contributes to who we are and how we move through our lives.  The question is how comfortable are you with the identification of that duality?  As evolution has occurred this notion has become more accepted but in times very much passed I feel it was a tougher go for the macho male in the sense that embracing and expressing from a nurturing or sensitive state was thought of as too feminine and a sign of weakness.  When you are open to realize and embrace that part of your duality you expand possibility, awareness and consciousness.  Of course when the ego is trying to control or overrun the spirit instead of allowing it to blend I feel it comes out through a variety of ways as well as a heavy overcompensation to be seen as more masculine.  Nurturance or sensitivity is not weakness and those who are comfortable, content and aware of its power have learned this.

It seems to me there is a misconception and misinterpretation that sensitivity is linked to vulnerability and as such is the definition of someone who is less than.  For anyone that has dared to show and expose their own vulnerability which certainly proves to be an increasingly higher risk has learned that it is strength in its purest form.

Lack of belief in self can impede your evolution of awareness and understanding as to how important the ego/spirit blend is, leaving you open and vulnerable to infection of egocentric behavior.  There are no positive aspects in egocentric, it serves only to demoralize and is expressed recklessly and outwardly through some form of abuse.  Left unchecked it evolves and escalates to degrees that deconstruct everyone and everything in its path.

It feels to me that this perpetuated segregation requires global response of equality and emancipation for all.

We are not born with hatred in our hearts.  Negativity comes in externally and sometimes sifting through it to filter out the pieces that do not fit can feel daunting.  Developing an empowered and stronger sense of self has never been more important!

Out With the Old

In With the New!

Your negative experiences do not need to define or dictate the direction of your life.  The only way they can is if you allow the views and/or perceptions of others to taint the colors that make up your palette of beautiful energy.

It’s hard enough at times to navigate through difficult experiences but when negative influences intrude and/or threaten your personal faith your ability to stand tall can be weakened.  A continuation in negative experiences increases that breakdown in well-being when you don’t allow yourself time to fully process and heal.

Shedding the layers that no longer serve, define or fit so you can step back into natural alignment with your authentic self is the healing process that will bring you closer to living your best life.  Most likely the beginning of this kind of process is motivated more out of necessity and you may have found yourself at the equivalent of an emotional “rock bottom” which is not as devastating in reality as you may be building it up to in your mind.

Your ego is not your friend and is the biggest deterrent for the connection between heart, mind and soul.  Your ego will help your mind to create an abundance of insurmountable obstacles and no solutions all in the effort to control.  The ego only serves the ego and seeks an exaggerated sense of importance.  None of which is connected to your heart or spirit and none of which is necessary to your personal sense of well-being.

The layers that negative experiences apply to your soul neither define you nor are they valid.  Shedding those layers of inconsistency from your soul is like taking off or getting rid of an old jacket that is no longer suitable, comfortable or flattering.

These experiences are not who you were, are or going to be and it’s time to start getting rid of that which no longer serves your higher purpose or being.

It begins with you, how you personally feel about yourself, your life and where it’s heading.  Don’t be discouraged!  Anything can be turned around for the better, you only lose if you don’t try or fail to see your options.

It’s important to always remember that your spirit is stronger than any difficulty coming your way, you are not given more than you can handle or more than you can master.

Your negative experiences are meant to build you greater than you may realize or imagine.  Every person has a specific destiny here and some of the strongest lessons meant to lead you to your purpose are only awakened through great difficulty.

Your positive experiences are your blessings, the bonuses brought in to strengthen and encourage your inner spirit so you stay strong, faithful and humble in the face of adversity.

Don’t let the protective layers built by your experiences color or shade any part of your palette of beautiful energy.  Let your inner light shine bright and sparkle with all the colors of your spirit!

Simply the Basics!

An Integral Part of Life

There were so many before us that passed forth great wisdom for the purpose of making the world a better place. Below is a poem that was recently given to me, I had not seen it before but so much of the content resonated so strongly that I wanted to share it. It’s a really good wake-up to the call of your higher self and the real importance of this life.

If – Poem by Rudyard Kipling (1865 – 1936)

If you can keep your head when all about you

Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,

If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,

But make allowance for their doubting too;

If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,

Or being lied about, don’t deal in lies,

Or being hated, don’t give way to hating,

And yet don’t look too good, nor talk too wise;

If you can dream – and not make dreams your master,

If you can think – and not make thoughts your aim;

If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster

And treat those two imposters just the same;

If you can bear to hear the truth you’ve spoken

Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,

Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,

And stoop and build’em up with worn-out tools;

If you can make one heap of all your winnings

And risk it all on one turn of pitch-and-toss,

And lose, and start again at your beginnings

And never breathe a word about your loss;

If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew

To serve your turn long after they are gone,

And so hold on when there is nothing in you

Except the Will which says to them: “Hold on!”

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,

Or walk with kings – nor lose the common touch,

If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,

If all men count with you, but none too much;

If you can fill the unforgiving minute

With sixty seconds’ worth of distance run,

Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it,

And – which is more – you’ll be a Man, my son!

My take away from this poem is the value and importance of integrity, holding your head high in good times and in bad, keeping yourself from getting lost in the emotional aspects of life that are there to teach you your greatest and most difficult lessons. All the while remembering that which you came from and honoring your true self without giving in to fear. Trusting wisely but not loosely the value of all your relationships, specifically those that are properly balanced.

Nothing of great value or importance was created in a day, patience and hard work whether it takes longer than you’d like is always rewarded.

truth, honesty, integrity

At the End of Every Storm

Lies the Opportunity for New Beginnings

Our storms in life are the difficulties we experience and through them great change can evolve.same person from the storm

Some storms change YOU so much that you may find yourself going in a direction you never would have chosen, not for any other reason than you weren’t in a place that was in alignment with it before. These new directions are beyond the familiar and can feel scary but at the same time exhilarating at the prospect of what is to come.

Change is not always comfortable especially when it comes to the unknown which means you have to have faith that things will work out as they should and trust that it will be in your best interests. Having faith when you feel a little scared and somewhat skeptical can be a big leap but every time I’ve felt that kind of fear and anticipation it has ALWAYS turned out to be something great, a result that I couldn’t have planned better. I think that kind of anticipatory fear is the “little sign” for me that something big is to come, it may be different for you but pay attention to what your instincts tell you so you can learn when positive change is knocking at your door.

Change can be especially difficult for you if you are headstrong about having control over the direction your life is going, it’s not easy to relinquish it to faith or trust when you are used to being the guide. I can tell you though that it is always well worth it to have faith, even it at first you don’t understand eventually things make sense, so much so that you may wonder how you didn’t get it earlier.

New beginnings, new chapters, new paths all start with new thoughts and ideas and those thoughts are usually brought about by something that isn’t working for you any longer in your life. You may seek to shake up some part or all of your life because you’ve come to a point where feel that there is something bigger you should be doing. That is your purpose calling on you because you are finally within the range of alignment and the Universe assists by awakening that passion within your energy.

I do believe that anyone in search of a better life can entirely change everything around, one can walk into a new direction that inspires and cultivates positive attitude, behaviour and lifestyle simply by making that decision and then by following through. It takes dedication, determination, focus and discipline to carry out and continue on the path you desire and that takes more work than you can imagine but as you know anything worth having is worth working for.

It’s so easy to make a decision to do or change something, it’s another thing entirely to act on it and especially keeping up the momentum to see it through to the end.

I’ve at times made a change and then stopped because it seemed impossible but what I’ve learned is that this fear is created by my ego in an effort to keep me from progressing. Progression like this builds up the strength of your inner spirit and your inner spirit is not in any way connected to your ego. As the inner spirit gets stronger the ego diminishes because it is not needed within the state of inner peace and balance.  Strengthening that part of your being is the best asset you have in helping you succeed in any and all areas of your life.

So in the end, the storms even though they are not desirable, are necessary to your personal growth, awareness and understanding of your soul and the Universe. Know that they are not meant as punishment, they are to provide a higher learning.

Imagine that you are in a boat on the ocean in a real storm, what you learn in that scenario is no different than what you learn through your personal storms, we learn to navigate to survive so we can live another day.

within you is strength

Follow Your Instincts!

Let Your Inner Wisdom have a Voice

There is so much going on in our lives and around us that we don’t have the time or the opportunity to hear what our internal voice or instinct has to say, believe me I know this one! My life for the past year has been drama after drama after drama and I’ve not given my own spirit as many moments as it deserves to recharge, rebuild or revive my inspiration. As much as I want to encourage others to give themselves that time I have to also push myself to embrace it more because it is what makes our souls flourish. Every moment you can give yourself counts!

Everyone has an opinion and most are willing to share it whether you want it or not. Everyone has a direction they feel you should be going in and are most convincing in telling you how you should be living your life but the real question is, what do your instincts have to say? Why are you paying so much attention to what others think you should be doing, why are you not consulting your own inner voice and conscience?

I think we all spend too much time in consideration of what others will think about what we are doing rather than giving consideration to the voice that matters the most, the one inside you that instinctively knows what the best direction for you actually is. The only time I have not allowed my inner voice to have the floor is when I know that a direction or action I’ve taken is or feels wrong. I think we tend to avoid even our own conscience when we know we’ve blurred our line of integrity.I choose

That action itself can have a spiral effect that you may not realize because when you take an action that isn’t even approved by your own conscience a shift in your mind of what you deserve as a result occurs and actions that follow may be against you by you because you are going to deal yourself the punishment. How long will that last though and how do you know when you’ve suffered enough to lighten up on yourself? All of this second guessing and punishment seems almost crazy, if you just consult your conscience from the beginning and listen to your instincts chances are you won’t have to end up in this crazy spiral.

We are here in human bodies and that humanity at times is flawed, sometimes we make mistakes but sometimes those mistakes lead us to a better place in our life by bringing inner wisdom, personal growth and awareness to our soul. Self-punishing is pointless, taking ownership and making amends rejuvenates and revives the soul in ways that self-punishing never will.

With so much going on outside of us it’s easy to get caught up in the daily buzz, next thing you know a week has gone by, and then a month, and so forth and you still haven’t given yourself that time-out to listen to what’s inside your spirit. Taking that time out to stop and smell the roses has so much more meaning than you realize and honestly at certain times in our lives it doesn’t feel possible but somewhere within the 24 hours of a day you need to honor your spirit enough to give it even just a moment to speak to you.

I don’t think many of us realize how much easier life could be if we allowed our spirit to have a voice for even just a moment, it knows your best direction better than you think you do and sometimes when you go against it you are creating more difficulty in your life than if you just went with your natural flow.

There is a mountain of distractions that can easily keep us from hearing the wisdom our inner voice has to offer but those distractions also keep us in a daily routine and life that isn’t productive or pleasurable. It’s easy to put your time and interest into someone else’s life because you either feel that’s your purpose or because it feels fulfilling but I believe that will only last for a while because your instincts know you are supposed to be somewhere else in your life and will keep trying to guide you there, why are you resisting? By this I don’t mean abandon those you feel are connected to your purpose, more like find the balance so everyone’s spirit is equally nurtured.

We are hard-wired to survive but instinctually we are driven to find the greater meaning and connection to our path and each other, intellectually we know that connection cannot occur alone so we need each other. It is what goes on externally that can either impede or inspire your progression on your path, navigating it by utilizing your instincts is not only the key but your saving grace.

Have you ever had the notion that there is something that you should be doing, somewhere else you should be, some destiny or prophecy that you should be fulfilling, something bigger than you that is significant in a way you aren’t yet aware of?

I think that is your instinct trying to put the yearning into your soul so you strive to seek the greater purpose that each of us have and are meant for. Our purposes are different from one another, some are interconnected, some are not but all are a part of the Universal Grand Design that is part of this journey.intuition, albert einstein

I believe we have all embarked on these seemingly separate journeys to develop a deeper connection to our souls, then each other and the Universe, when you come across that “aha” moment of making that connection it’s an amazing epiphany that you will finally realize could not have been stumbled upon any other way than spiritually.

Don’t forget your Gift!

Intentionally on Purpose!

When the Actions Don’t Match the Words

Are your daily steps in alignment with the future you envision to live? It’s not just a matter of thinking or saying it out loud your actions must also be in alignment with that direction.

You don’t get in life what you want, you get what you prepare for!

If you wanted to be a doctor you would take the steps needed to head in that direction, get the schooling required, every step of that process would lead you to that profession, all of these actions are in alignment with the vision.

–        Are you actually living the life you really want right now?

–        If not, are you doing anything to get to that life?

When the actions don’t match the words, believe the actions!mistakes, fear

I think a lot of times difficulties and obstacles can lead you to believe you aren’t meant for this or it’s not your path but I disagree.

Difficulties and obstacles are your personal challenge to either quit or forge ahead and the question is which do you choose to do?

If what you seek truly means that much to you then the answer to that question should be quite easy. Maybe the difficulty or obstacle is there to create personal strength, strength you will need in your envisioned goal. Or maybe it is there to help build another aspect of your personality, an aspect that will enhance your success in the envisioned goal or further beyond that. I think giving up because you are afraid of failing, because you feel it’s too hard or because you aren’t confident of how things will turn out will create an emotional result that is much worse.

–        Regret is there to haunt you because you gave in to the fear.

–        Failure is there to remind you that you had the courage to try.

Anything is possible for anyone at any time but nothing will ever happen if you never take the chance.

I don’t fully believe that anything unsuccessful is failure because the experience may direct you to another path, one that you wouldn’t have discovered without first attempting the unsuccessful path. Some of the most brilliant discoveries were by accident while attempting to do something else, sometimes when going towards your intended purpose you discover something greater.

2014 marks the 80th anniversary of the discovery of Penicillin, which was by accident, so is it really a failure if the path you are currently on leads you to something better, something that may change our existence positively? Lives have been saved because of this discovery, I imagine that Sir Alexander Fleming never focused on anything but the positive outcome of his accident.

Published reports credit Fleming as saying: “One sometimes finds what one is not looking for. When I woke up just after dawn on Sept. 28, 1928, I certainly didn’t plan to revolutionize all medicine by discovering the world’s first antibiotic, or bacteria killer. But I guess that was exactly what I did.”

We have all been given the tools we need to activate our vision and your belief enhances those tools to create success. Believe you can succeed and you will.

If you never step into your light how will you ever discover the possibilities that await you?

The vision you have, the one you want to see manifest, you absolutely NEED to believe in it with everything in you, both consciously and subconsciously. Go passionately toward your path without fear carrying with you the will power to withstand all obstacles that may come up, there is no alternative!

believe in your path

Living Life?

Or just Existing?

It’s really about experiences and doing things!

Your purpose and calling is bigger than your presence.  It’s the journey and where it takes you and I believe all the journeys are there to teach us some form of Love, whether it is through compassion, empathy, authenticity, generosity, faith, intention, hope, gratitude or appreciation they all bring with them a greater awareness.  All of these states of being stem from Love and if you embrace your journey the limits of where you can go are boundless!

Who are you trying to become?  Are you trying to be a good person?  At the end of the day we need to be ok at our inner core with what we’re doing.

Are you being authentic with yourself and others?  Are your motives genuine or selfish?  I think it’s important to stay within those guidelines to be aligned with your inner core or else you will feel inner conflict which isn’t always recognizable, it may just feel like something doesn’t feel right.

authenticity-transparency-quote

Your self-worth and personal value are enhanced when you connect to your inner core because it’s not your outside appearance that projects your beauty and that projection causes others to naturally be drawn to you.  Learn to recognize that rejection may not be a bad thing because it helps you to keep your expectations in check.  I believe also that it means there is something better coming around the corner and you need to be open to receive.  Rejection creates an opening of vulnerability and when you are vulnerable is when positive change has the opportunity to occur.

Unleash your imagination, let it flow through all your senses and it will help you to find your purpose.  In talking with others, there seems to be an overall sensing or knowing that there is something different that you should be doing.  I felt like there was an energy that was swirling just outside the zone waiting for the perfect moment to come rushing in.

When you finally understand that whispering you will find your voice and your priorities become so clear and the moment you shine a little light, it starts to grow.  Don’t be defined by anything other than your own authenticity and capacity for breathing your love of life into yourself and those around you.

Surprisingly, even though I constantly talk about having a plan, mostly all of mine have failed but those failures and my ability to adapt have allowed me to fall into better spaces each time, places I wouldn’t have thought to look or have interest in.  Having a plan is more for distraction because it helps you to direct your focus and energy on the steps and while you’re doing those steps you will likely discover something wonderful in between and the plan keeps you open to receive.  One thing for sure is that even though a plan has failed, at least I tried it and learned it wasn’t right for me and now I won’t have regret.

I think when it gets to that certain point in your life when you are looking for something to fill your passion, something to inspire your soul, you sometimes find yourself with regrets and sometimes those regrets are for the chances you didn’t take because of some form of vulnerability that prevented it.

It’s who you become by being truthful, authentic and generous with yourself and others.  When you don’t do something you know is right you end up living with regret and it will haunt you.

Sometimes the bravest thing to do is to embrace honesty so you don’t allow yourself to be held back from something that could have changed your life.

The Transitions of Life!

Without Change We Wouldn’t have Growth

I’m watching another installment of Oprah’s Lifeclass with Pastor Rick Warren, author of “The Purpose Driven Life” and one thing in particular he has just talked about is something that sparked my interest immediately:

change is a process

“The Transitions of Life”

“There is no growth without change, no change without loss and no loss without pain and that is Grief.”  “Fear and Resentment are the things that will hold you back.”

Pastor Rick Warren’s definition of the difference between success and significance:

–          “Everybody’s life is driven by something.

–          There are a lot of successful people whose lives are driven by guilt.

–          There are a lot of successful people who are driven by the approval of others.”

“If you live for the approval of others, you will die by their rejection”

“The two biggest barriers to you fulfilling your purpose in life is envy and people pleasing.

–          Envy is, I must be like you to be happy.

–          People pleasing is, I must be liked by you to be happy.

Those two things will cause you to miss God’s purpose for your life!

You have to live for an audience of one!

I found that these statements are very powerful because our emotions, like fear and resentment can become so ingrained within us that it can start to control us whether we want it to or not.  These two emotions especially can keep you from experiencing and progressing through your life as you are meant to.

Fear can be paralyzing, it can prevent you from taking the risks that may improve your life in more ways than you can imagine and can cause you to doubt your own capabilities.

Resentment can be imprisoning because it can cause you to replay, over and over, events in your life that were damaging to your emotional state of being and by continuing to hold on to that resentment you will likely feel the hurt of those memories often, possibly even daily.

Loss, whether someone has passed on or a relationship has run its course transitions us to grief and during that grief process is the opportunity for healing.  All things change even if we don’t think we want them to but every ending is the beginning of something new.

These transitions, once recognized for their true meaning, can change your entire life if you let it, especially when you allow yourself to have faith that “all things will work out as they should, and when they should”.  I believe in that statement and even when things feel unknown I am very confident that at some point it will all make sense and usually it does!  I don’t challenge the timing of when that light bulb will go on and I’ll figure out how all those pieces of the puzzle fit together, I would drive myself crazy if I did that!  I just know that whatever the outcome is it will be what is best for me and that it’s all part of the bigger picture of my life that I will eventually come into.

When looking back 5 or even 10 years I couldn’t have possibly guessed that I would be where I am at now and I have such anticipation for what the next chapters of my life hold.  I’m excited and hopeful for a future that is fitting of the transitions that I’ve had in my life so far.  Of course I have ideas and dreams of where I want my future to go but so far everything I’ve thought had in my sights has turned into something completely different and better so I know that whatever direction is mapped out for my future is one that I will fit into comfortably.

faith in god, faith in timing

You Need to Step Up for Change to Happen

Go Hard or Go Home!

Are you in a Rut?

Are you Living your Dreams?

Or are you Just Getting By?

If you aren’t satisfied with where you are at or where your life is going then I believe these are the questions you might want to consider.  I found after asking myself these questions that I had a whole new set of questions that followed.

Where do I want my life to go?

What do I consider Living my Dreams?

What fulfills me?

What is my Purpose?

Some of these questions may seem easy but they weren’t, oh sure, where I want my life to go is obviously somewhere good, somewhere happy and somewhere fulfilling but I didn’t know what that looked like.  Figuring that out takes a lot of thought and true soul searching and knowing where to start isn’t a given for anyone but I found that the answers to these questions definitely helped point me in the right direction.

ambition v8 engine

Everything I do is full on (Go Hard or Go Home!), I don’t like to do anything half-way, I don’t see the point, but of course I think that’s just part of my work ethic and personality, something anyone athletic or competitive can identify with, tenacity is the key to success.  Having those traits that I applied to the many sports I played made it frustrating for me to not have any idea or direction of what I wanted to do in life.  In sports, it’s easy, you already know what the end result is supposed to look like, but life goals?  That’s a whole other game!  I had a blurred vision of the emotional aspect of where I wanted my life to go which was the (somewhere good, somewhere happy, somewhere fulfilling) but I had no idea what the purpose or the work was that would be associated and that was because I needed these questions to help me.  Again with the questions, I had more that followed!

What’s my first step?

What’s my second step?

What’s my third step?

There was no end to these questions and there still isn’t!  I am still in hot pursuit of my goals and have no intention of letting up, not for any other reason than it’s too important to me to give up.  I found a quote from a movie “A Cinderella Story” that fits perfectly.

“Never let the fear of striking out, keep you from playing the game”

How true this quote is, you have to step up to create change for yourself, it’s the only way.  You can’t expect anyone else to do it for you or to fulfill your dreams, there’s no sense of accomplishment in that and if something means that much to you then giving up isn’t an option.  Your rewards come from accomplishing things for yourself and being able to say “I did that!” or “I was part of that”.  Either on your own or collectively no one else can create the glow of accomplishment and inner reward but you!

If you want something, you have to make it happen!
