Change the Way You Look at Things

The Things you Look at Change!

I know I’ve written about this very topic before but sometimes reminders are necessary, especially for me. When you get too involved in an emotion you end up creating the outcome of least desire whether you realize it or not. Law of attraction says what you think about most is what grows, so even if it’s something you don’t want when you give it more of your energy you end up keeping it alive and feeding it which helps it continue to grow and be a daily part of your life.

I do this at times and even though I realize I am feeding the wrong emotion and desired outcome sometimes it’s hard to turn it off. When you have an issue that weighs on your mind I think it’s natural to think about it more than needed and sometimes overthink it which brings about more of what you don’t want.

Do you ever end up over-analyzing, over-thinking, over-obsessing about all the wrong things only to realize in the end that your worry seemed to magnify your issues more than anything else? Does all that you were worrying about ever manifest the way you envision it? Most of the time it ends up being useless worrying that has caused the extra stress, usually everything works out ok and the thing that was stressing you out the most was you.if-you-change-the-way-you-look-at-things-wayne-dyer

It’s so important for me and you (if you get stuck like this) to change the way you are looking at things because I can guarantee you every time I’ve done that it’s actually changed the way things are. Not for any other reason than the fact that I’ve removed the energy I’m giving to what I don’t want and putting it in the direction of what is better for me.

Get out of your own way by changing the way you are looking at things so that your life can start to fall into the places it’s meant to be. When you do this you will be amazed at how things change, it allows the things that were of such bother to you to drop in importance reducing what you don’t want and increasing the more positive aspects of your life so they can flourish as they are supposed to.

I know this sounds like it’s not really possible, especially if you have some huge issues going on but really when you take away the energy and time you put into the things you don’t want they start to diminish, maybe not immediately but over time (and I don’t mean years). In addition to the outward effect when you remove your energy from what you don’t want, you start to feel lighter and happier because not only was your energy feeding that negativity but it was draining you as well.

Freeing up the space of positive possibilities attracts more of the options you desire because as you move into a better space of thought you become more aligned with the Universe and your personal power and that is the energy you want to feed and grow.

It is only when you are in alignment with all things positive that your life will start to gravitate in the direction you desire. Learning to be aware of your thoughts and feelings so you can identify when you step onto the path of negative thinking will be a strong ally on your road of life and one you shouldn’t do without.

Always remember YOU are in control on what you think and what you feel, you can change both whenever you want simply by shifting what you are giving energy to with your focus. You can change anything aspect of your life you want simply by deciding to and at any moment. The questions you have to ask yourself are;

  • Are you willing to walk away from the darkness that hides your negative moments?

and

  • Are you ready to step into the light that catapults you to your positive life?

If you’ve truthfully, deep down in your soul answered yes to both than you’ve taken the first simple step, the decision. That’s usually the hardest part to address because while everyone wants to be happy, not all are ready to accept it without skepticism or questions.

It’s a charmed life, be open, ready and grateful to live it?

more life to live

If You Build It, They Will Come

Believe It Can Happen!

One of the single most important aspects to manifesting your dreams is believing it will happen!

Whatever you seek in life is dependent upon your belief that it will actually happen and when you do fully believe you start living your life as if these things are already happening or on their way. Whether you realize it or not, this shift in your perspective and outlook makes room internally as well as externally and as a result you open the door to accept happiness and peace into your soul.

“If you build it, they will come”, speaking metaphorically of course, because it’s not just about that movie and building a baseball field, it applies to everything within your life and is exactly the state of belief and unwavering faith you need to embrace so the changes you wish to see can begin to manifest. You must be willing and open to change, you must be willing to do the work and make sacrifices, when the time is right the rewards will follow.

belief

Sometimes though the rewards don’t turn out to be specifically what you expected and by that I don’t mean that you do the work and you there are no rewards; I mean that sometimes the work leads you to another path, one that has different challenges and/or roadblocks you might not have encountered otherwise and that changes the rewards. I believe that everything in life begins as part of the imagination and that inspires creativity, when you come up with an idea about something sometimes you have different thoughts along the way that change the original idea, that’s creativity! Creativity inspired can blossom into so many other areas that the possibilities become endless so when I say that sometimes the rewards change it is because the creativity that surrounds you is constantly moving.

Similarly you also are always moving, changing, adapting, creating, imagining, etc. When you operate in this state you are in alignment with the Universe as it is also moving, changing, adapting, creating, imagining, etc.

It makes sense that when you are operating within that alignment that YOUR possibilities become endless.

It’s the Law of Attraction, I’m sure you’ve noticed at certain times in your life when things just flow, like you’re “in the zone” and everything is working out beautifully. Alternatively there are also the times when everything seems to go wrong in a day and those are the days when you are not in alignment, you’re “out of the zone”. Most times you fall “out of the zone” is when you are resisting, likely one of life’s lessons, and believe me the more you resist the more you will have days like that.

I think sometimes resistance is the response to anything that is painful or challenging because it is much easier to look away from your pain or challenges than stare it down and deal with it. Understandably some difficulties take more from you than you want to allow but I’ve learned that when I face obstacles it builds me back stronger. I can honestly say that when it comes to life’s lessons there is no comparison to the strong sense of self you gain when you rise to the occasion.

Life’s lessons will open you to new understanding, perspective and outlook all of which will change who you are and how you view your world, these lessons are here to help you, not break you.

It isn’t until you are humbled by life’s lessons that you really develop the understanding of the bigger picture and of course that brings a whole other set of questions. The difference is that these questions become more about substance than material, more about internal than external and more about spirit than ego.

If You Build It, They Will Come!

love life, it will love you back

The Seeds of Greatness!

Are at the Core of your Spirit

Peeling back the layers of life that have caused your spirit to be cloaked by any negative emotion as a result of your experiences is what allows your true essence to shine!

Where was I Then?

Your youth is where it all begins, where patterns, habits and learned behaviours are formed. You are meant to learn and grow from your experiences not be crippled by them. If your environment doesn’t contain any sort of positive aspects then your outlook of possibilities may be diminished. Your role models are the biggest influences in creating your view on the world, how they model their ability to deal with life experiences is very influential and will either be motivational or damaging. Some behaviours pass through more than one generation and are viewed as “normal” because that is all you know, especially when you are young. It is only when you start to develop into your own independence that you become aware of the inconsistencies. Most times you seek out those that fit the same behavioural pattern that is so familiar and I think eventually you either break away from it or fall into the same mold because it is too far outside of your comfort zone.

I think the biggest and most crippling aspect of this is that you can end up going through many life experiences without really experiencing them because the pattern is so ingrained that you run on auto-pilot and never realize that there is more to your life than just the day to day run of existence.

Where am I Now?

Asking yourself the big questions that are beginning to resonate in your soul are both important and necessary. If it matters to you, it matters! If you’re feeling like there’s something more that you want to reach for or experience within your life there is never a time when it is too late. All change or transformation begins with a first step – the decision. The decision, which doesn’t sound like a huge step, actually is but following through is even bigger. Once you’ve taken those very critical two first steps you start to fall back in alignment with the Universe (I call it being in the Zone, athletes will totally know what I mean) and the Universe only works to create what is meant for you.

Believe me, we are all meant to experience life positively, it is when we fall out of alignment that things start to go sideways.

Where will I Go?dr suess quote #3

Once you’ve taken on a more positive outlook and continue to search or have found your new path the places you can go become infinite possibilities! Listen to Dr. Suess, it’s not just meant for children!

I strive to inspire, motivate and cultivate all things positive and continue to seek deeper awareness and understanding. Every day I learn, every day I come across new meaning to parts of life I didn’t realize existed and every day I am enlightened, humbled and impressed!

Don’t let negative life experiences prevent you from living the life you are meant for or deserve. Make the decision that “it stops here!” and immediately change direction, you can do anything you set your mind to!

At your core you’re all things pure and good and when you realize the amount of strength you and all of us have been given, success and happiness is just a short period of time away and all it takes for you to get there from here is your decision to do it.

Make the change that changes your life!

Intentionally on Purpose!

When the Actions Don’t Match the Words

Are your daily steps in alignment with the future you envision to live? It’s not just a matter of thinking or saying it out loud your actions must also be in alignment with that direction.

You don’t get in life what you want, you get what you prepare for!

If you wanted to be a doctor you would take the steps needed to head in that direction, get the schooling required, every step of that process would lead you to that profession, all of these actions are in alignment with the vision.

–        Are you actually living the life you really want right now?

–        If not, are you doing anything to get to that life?

When the actions don’t match the words, believe the actions!mistakes, fear

I think a lot of times difficulties and obstacles can lead you to believe you aren’t meant for this or it’s not your path but I disagree.

Difficulties and obstacles are your personal challenge to either quit or forge ahead and the question is which do you choose to do?

If what you seek truly means that much to you then the answer to that question should be quite easy. Maybe the difficulty or obstacle is there to create personal strength, strength you will need in your envisioned goal. Or maybe it is there to help build another aspect of your personality, an aspect that will enhance your success in the envisioned goal or further beyond that. I think giving up because you are afraid of failing, because you feel it’s too hard or because you aren’t confident of how things will turn out will create an emotional result that is much worse.

–        Regret is there to haunt you because you gave in to the fear.

–        Failure is there to remind you that you had the courage to try.

Anything is possible for anyone at any time but nothing will ever happen if you never take the chance.

I don’t fully believe that anything unsuccessful is failure because the experience may direct you to another path, one that you wouldn’t have discovered without first attempting the unsuccessful path. Some of the most brilliant discoveries were by accident while attempting to do something else, sometimes when going towards your intended purpose you discover something greater.

2014 marks the 80th anniversary of the discovery of Penicillin, which was by accident, so is it really a failure if the path you are currently on leads you to something better, something that may change our existence positively? Lives have been saved because of this discovery, I imagine that Sir Alexander Fleming never focused on anything but the positive outcome of his accident.

Published reports credit Fleming as saying: “One sometimes finds what one is not looking for. When I woke up just after dawn on Sept. 28, 1928, I certainly didn’t plan to revolutionize all medicine by discovering the world’s first antibiotic, or bacteria killer. But I guess that was exactly what I did.”

We have all been given the tools we need to activate our vision and your belief enhances those tools to create success. Believe you can succeed and you will.

If you never step into your light how will you ever discover the possibilities that await you?

The vision you have, the one you want to see manifest, you absolutely NEED to believe in it with everything in you, both consciously and subconsciously. Go passionately toward your path without fear carrying with you the will power to withstand all obstacles that may come up, there is no alternative!

believe in your path

Welcome 2013 – Happy New Year!

Out with the Old, In with the New

2013The New Year of 2013 is now here and I always feel the same level of excitement at the beginning of every new year because of all the possibilities, opportunities and energy that is in the air.  I know I said last year that I felt 2012 was going to be a good year for everyone but that feeling has developed to an even stronger level for 2013.  I’ve learned to “just go with my feelings” when I get them because eventually the reality becomes clear, not when I think it should but when the timing is finally right.

I had a lot of transitional change and growth throughout the year of 2012, maybe not everyone had experienced or felt this but I did.  I say transitional because the changes were not sudden, I finally began to see things from a perspective that has allowed me to accept things that just aren’t meant to be any different than they are.  It was another year of reflection, realization and learning and honestly I am really enjoying the liberation and freedom those thought processes bring.  Especially at the end of the year because not only am I looking ahead but I’m reflecting back to see how much farther I’ve come.  I don’t ever want to stop learning or challenging myself because that is what inspires me to keep pushing myself on to the next level.

Last year helped me to better define my focus of what I envision for my future and that focus has strengthened not only my determination and perseverance but it has helped me to develop a more guided sense of discipline.  I wouldn’t say that I never had these qualities it’s just that when I was in my 20’s I didn’t have a direction or focus that required them so they were relatively unused.  I don’t think that we really discover who we are or what we are made of until we have to, out of necessity.

something wonderfulThis is the best time of the year to let go of all that has held you back, wipe the slate clean and start fresh so that you can embrace, welcome and live your best life.  Sometimes when something ends it isn’t because you are meant to hurt or feel sad but rather to make room for what is just around the corner and your hands and heart need to be open to accept and embrace it and more often than not, it’s something better.

This year I have resolutions that are an extension of last year’s because thanks to my reinforced discipline they will now continue on as a pattern rather than a resolution.  I have many new dreams that I want to accomplish and an abundance of energy that is going to support, motivate and carry me through.

I know it’s easy to make the plans and I think in some of my past years I either used to make them too far in advance or I would lose my motivation and then I’d say “I’ll do it next year”.  I know all too well how easily that can happen but I can assure you that there is a great deal of pride and sense of accomplishment when you stay the course you’ve set out on.

Whether you make resolutions or not I believe that the time of the year that has the strongest energy is at the beginning and if there is something you want to change or accomplish now is the time to initiate it.  The energy circling through the universe at this time is magical, full of hopes and dreams, use it to your best advantage!

Happy New Year!   I wish you all a Safe, Happy, Healthy and Prosperous 2013.

happy new year

I Believe!

The Foundation of all that is Possible

Believing in yourself and your dreams is the foundation that builds the reality and it’s the most essential component right from the beginning.  The dreams and desires are the easiest to determine, I think everyone has either a dream job, dream vacation or the entire dream life in mind.  I do not know the percentage of those that realize or do not realize their dreams but I do believe that what separates them are:

–          Belief

–          Courage

–          Determination

I’ve always felt that our belief system at its core is stored within the subconscious mind.  We are awake for a certain amount of hours in a day but when we daydream or sleep we cannot override the thoughts in our subconscious.  If the thoughts within your subconscious are in alignment with your conscious mind and you truthfully believe in you then believing in your dreams won’t be a problem.  If, deep down, you feel you aren’t deserving, for whatever reason, that belief is stored in your subconscious mind and will keep you from realizing your dreams.  Your subconscious is the default, the autopilot, like when you drive somewhere and you arrive at your destination but cannot clearly remember all the turns.  It’s not that your weren’t fully alert while driving but while your conscious mind was thinking about the day ahead your subconscious mind, completely aware, carried on the drive.

When people receive hypnosis perhaps to quit a bad habit or feel more empowered, they are put into an altered state of being (the subconscious) because in there lies the opportunity to re-program.  Same as playing CD’s while sleeping as an alternative to hypnosis.

Our conscious mind is not always aware of the subconscious mind but the subconscious mind is fully aware of the conscious mind so you can still continue to go about your day even when your conscious mind is distracted by the busy thoughts in daily life.

There are many things we do without thinking because they have become “second nature” so we do not hesitate and that is the subconscious mind, it’s like the hard drive of the human being.  For myself I’ve always used the analogy of the subconscious as relating to the old-style Jukebox.  You put the money in and the arm scans until it comes across the correct selected record and pulls it out to play.  The things I remember, I store them in my mind like the Jukebox and when I randomly need that info my brain scans until it finds the correct selected memory and brings it to my conscious mind.

I think everyone has old information, that may be either useless or not, but you still remember it, this is how powerful the subconscious mind is.  Imagine if you program in there your belief in yourself, your desire to succeed and your belief that you can achieve anything you set out to do that you truly have your heart into.

Remember your conscious mind is not always aware of the subconscious mind but the subconscious mind is fully aware of the conscious mind.  This is a very powerful tool you have at your disposal, it doesn’t cost you anything except to feed it your own desires and intentions.

The outcome can be truly fantastic, if you let it.

If you don’t already have your belief in yourself in your subconscious mind then write a new program for yourself.  Write it down and keep it somewhere that you can see it often so that after a while it becomes “second nature” for your subconscious mind.

I’ve attacheda link below to a You Tube video of the song and lyrics to “I Believe” by Yolanda Adams, it’s such a great song, inspiring and motivating.

–          I Believe I Can

–          I Believe I Will

–          I Believe I Know my Dreams are Real

Full Steam Ahead

Changing your Thinking, Changes your Life!

I seek to inspire and motivate those that wish to be inspired and those that feel they have no options.  I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, what we think about is what we attract.  The Law of Attraction (LOA) is always operating, positively or negatively.  Your thinking is what drives the happenings in your life, changing your thinking effectively changes the outcome of your reality.  If you want to achieve or attain something within your life, your belief on if it’s a possibility for you will determine if it does in fact become a reality.  If you want your circumstances to change, changing your thought process is the way to begin.

You can alter the direction of your life simply by changing your thoughts to work for you.  Wouldn’t you rather have your life going in a direction that you are guiding?  At times I’ve felt that my life was controlled or directed by circumstance or events but when I’ve thought back the circumstances and events could very well be related to my thought process and the fact that I was utilizing my thoughts incorrectly.

My process has always been thinking and then writing down my possibilities; and from there I take those possibilities and create something like a flow chart.  It’s amazing to see when it’s all laid out like that, that what I initially viewed as “no options” grew into an amazing amount of possibilities.  The more I explore these possibilities, the more my options grow.

Another part of this process has been to change my state of mind and being.  Instead of thinking of what I don’t want in my life, I’ll try to think of what I want and live in that gratitude or state of being.

I’ll thank the Universe for bringing only positive people into my realm or give thanks for that job that suddenly popped up that I wanted.  In my case right now I have 2 more books that I’m working on and when I get thoughts and ideas to put into these books I give thanks, and then more thoughts and ideas come along.

I know this may sound crazy to some but it’s really how it works and it’s so simple and free.  Why not give it a try?

1)      Note where you are at now

2)      What you want to attract

3)      Give thanks when you receive any one of these wants

4)      Keep doing that process over and over

I’ve been amazed myself at how simple it is to change your thoughts and that one simple change can alter your whole outlook and reality.  The LOA is a very powerful state of mind and being, it doesn’t cost you a thing.  Maintain a strong focus to change your thoughts to work for you instead of against you and I can assure you, you will not be disappointed.

What are your Intentions?

Living Life with Purpose

Your intentions within your own life are very important to honor and follow.  When I was a teenager I had no idea what my intentions in life were and it took me a very long time to figure it out.  There were many kids in my school that already had a plan for their life’s direction.

The ones that had their ideas and plans made were what I consider now to be the lucky ones because they knew exactly what they wanted to do and what they needed to do to get it.

When I was young and immature I had judged that as being lame.  Nevermind the fact that I had no right to judge in the first place but when I look back now I cannot help but admire those kids, who are now adults, and mostly likely living their dreams.    I remember they were very driven and goal oriented and I can’t imagine that they wouldn’t have walked the path that they had charted.

If you were like me when I was young then there is no point in having regrets that hold you back now, there’s no such thing as “too late”.  Our intentions, no matter what they are, can feed our desired achievements now and well into the future.  It’s just a matter of believing in yourself, your dreams and the possibilities of the future that you want.

You’d be surprised at how simply shifting your thought process can directly affect the outcome of your reality.  Truly believe that you can achieve something, have your intentions and sense of purpose be in alignment with that and you will be unstoppable to attain exactly what you desire.

It’s those inner needs and instincts that are in alignment with your true purpose.  We always know when something doesn’t feel right but sometimes follow through anyway and that is when you are not in alignment with your soul.  Follow your inner needs and instincts and you will never be led astray.

I can’t even begin to tell you how free you will feel when you follow your life’s purpose which is also the path of least resistance and so much easier than battling to succeed at something that didn’t feel entirely right to begin with.

Don’t Dream Practical.

Dream Big!
