Soul to Soul

It’s the Energy You Bring

The true magic in all relationships is connecting and how that occurs isn’t really important, as long as it does.

Being aware of your energy is a responsibility, not only does it affect those you interact with but it affects you personally and how you view yourself and the world.wayne dyer, raise yourself

The energy you bring starts within and honestly my opinion is that your own energy raises not only your level of happiness but others as well. Happiness within begins with enjoying your world, living for yourself, and I don’t mean in the self-serving way but in the way that you fill your own cup and as your energy rises that cup overflows and pours that beautiful energy into the lives of others.

All things are energy, most all of us use other energy sources in an effort to lift spirits when feeling low and/or depleted. Energy sources like music, gardening, painting, writing, cooking, walking, soaking up the sun, the list can go on and on but what these energy sources provide you with is the opportunity to raise your spirit, your energy and your vibration.

When you raise all those levels you begin to align yourself with your greatest potentials and that is when the dreams you thought were just dreams become realities. The challenge is maintaining those levels because let’s face it sometimes life throws you curveballs and sometimes it doesn’t feel like you’re going to be able to recover.

It takes only the tiniest moment of inspiration to motivate you back up and your best resource is to get back in touch with whichever energy source it is that elevates your happiness. You need to do that not only for yourself but for those in your life that are in your space of energy.

My energy levels can get motivation from a few sources, my favorite is anything athletic, team or one player sport because it’s not just about raising my energy but inspiring others to get in the game too. I love it when I succeed as well as watching others succeed, a perfectly executed play in any sport is inspiring. Athletic competition isn’t just about the winning aspect, although don’t get me wrong, that is fun and I do enjoy it but most of the time I am more in competition with myself. It’s not just about getting the job done it’s about getting it done to the best of my ability and always trying to beat that, and the camaraderie is infectious. There is so much satisfaction to be gained from bettering yourself in any area of your life and what you end up doing is putting an endless spin on your personal wheel of motivation and inspiration.

One thing that you always hear from those that have aligned with their higher level of energy is that the work in that state of being doesn’t feel like work and that is because when you get yourself into alignment, things just click, they fall into place and it leaves you wondering why you didn’t go their earlier.

Best energy by far was that of my favorite author, motivational speaker, Dr. Wayne Dyer.

I was saddened a couple weeks ago to hear the news of Wayne Dyer’s passing on August 30th, he was my greatest inspiration and the very definition of the energy you bring into your relations with others and how important it is for you to ask yourself the more meaningful questions about life.

Do you want to just exist or do you want to live and breathe life to its fullest? Living life to its fullest includes getting in touch with anything and everything that inspires and motivates your happiness within and in case you were wondering it will also lead you to your purpose, your very reason for being and that will provide you with more happiness than you can ever imagine.

Sometimes You Have to Travel a Long Road

To Go a Short Distance!

It doesn’t matter what others do, it matters what you do!

Every occurrence, circumstance or event happens for a reason and usually that reason is connected to our own higher learning. I’ve thought in the past that when someone treated me in a way that was either manipulative, disrespectful or both that they deserved eternal condemnation but that’s not for me to decide. The Universe will handle it appropriately and in the right time, I need to trust in that, step back and draw some better boundaries to ensure it doesn’t happen again. We teach others how to treat us and honestly I’ve been a little too lax in my teachings in the past. I’ve often thought that the way I treated someone would be teaching enough as to how I also wanted to be treated but their intention in life may not be in alignment with mine. Learning how to decipher their intention and find only those that are in alignment with my intention is the lesson I am still fine-tuning.

I’ve always been someone that is super motivated to get to the next level so I can find out what the level after that is and so forth. I’ve come across people who live in a negative energy but have learned how to display passion that they also want to get to the next level but the truth of it is that if they wanted to get to the next level they would be doing something, anything, to be trying to get there and the lack that seems to be stalling them in place is really their own will or desire. The issue for them is that they have become content, familiar and/or addicted to their story because it serves as a great example/reason for the obstacles that prevent them from moving forward. The problem that will continue to plague them is that they are living in a negative mindset or point of view and that prevents the Universe from bringing the positive light in so the life that they secretly hope for but believe they don’t deserve can manifest.

live your truth

Imagine if you were meant for great things, which I believe we all are, we aren’t here to suffer, we are here to build and grow our souls so they can flourish but that can’t happen if a wall of negativity is blocking it from getting through. The biggest hurdle to letting all the good things get in is tearing down that wall and embracing that which makes you feel vulnerable or scared. Every time a monumental moment occurs hesitation is always there and rightly so, all monumental moments are the cusp of some impending change that will likely alter you in every area of life, which is why they are so scary and why we hesitate. Taking a leap of faith into unknown and unfamiliar territory is unnerving to say the least but every time I’ve ever done it I’ve never been disappointed, not even once! Even if it hasn’t led me to where I thought I was going, it has led me to something better.

It may seem easier, less scary, to keep yourself safely behind the protective armor of a negative mindset because at least you’re familiar with it, no one can hurt you there because you are already in defensive/protective mode but no good can get in either. So what you block out that hurts also prevents that which is good from getting through, I ask you, what’s more hurtful?

Even though the bad stuff feels rough, hurts and sometimes feels too overwhelming to overcome, it still comes with its gifts. That which does not kill me, only makes me stronger!

The more of the tough experiences you go through the stronger you get, the more resilient you get, the more capable you are of reaching for what you want and succeeding and when you combine that with embracing all things positive you more than double the power you’ve already gained from your experiences.

Sometimes you have to travel a long road to go a short distance. Imagine what you can do when you realize how powerful you already are!

Making the Connection

Finding the Path

We aren’t always open in the way we need to be to receive the signs or guidance we are seeking and of course that is because we can’t be in the same frame of mind all the time.  Our moods are tied to our emotional state and depending on what emotional state you are in it can determine whether or not you are open and able to make the connection.

I had a book that I bought quite a while before I finally read the whole thing.  I had started it but for some reason just couldn’t absorb any of it, after re-reading the first chapter three times I’d realized it just wasn’t the right time for me to read it.

After at least a year had passed I was looking for something to read, something that I could connect with and that would bring me the solace and understanding I was seeking at that time.  I picked this same book up again and read it cover to cover in a very short time and it contained all the answers to the questions that were currently on my mind.  What I could determine from this after was that the time before when I wanted to read it but couldn’t even remotely absorb it, I hadn’t been at the point of needing the information contained in this book.

We all have different phases in our lives when information given to us is received because it resonates with where we are at that moment.  If we aren’t on that conscious level then the signs or guidance can’t get in because we aren’t in alignment with them.  When I had picked up that book the second time it completely fit in with what I needed, which is why when I first tried to read it that it didn’t resonate because I hadn’t yet reached that point.

Not everyone is at the same point in their life at the same time, all the time.  So if you are wanting to share something that you find insightful with someone else it doesn’t mean they aren’t interested or don’t understand, it just means they either aren’t or haven’t reached a level in their life where what you find in alignment with your soul to be in alignment with theirs.

I believe in the divinity of this universe and when we are most in need of something that will calm or energize our spirit it is usually presented at the time when we are most open to acknowledging and receiving it.  If you’re not receiving a sign or guidance that you are asking for then it doesn’t mean that the universe isn’t listening, it means that you’re limiting yourself by looking in only one direction.

Signs don’t always come in the form we expect them to and sometimes in order to receive them you need to expand your awareness.  When a door closes, don’t just stare at it and believe that that’s it for you, turn around and keep looking for a window.  There is always a path to higher consciousness, it’s completely your choice on whether you want to step onto it.  Knowing how much control and power we actually have within our thoughts and imagination while on it, you can’t keep me off of it.  For me it’s the path to a much healthier and contented life, a life that I don’t want to live without.

Believing In Yourself

You Can Get There From Here

We all have to make compromises in life and that also includes doing what we have to do to get to where we want to be.  We all have to start somewhere and it’s usually at the bottom because how else can you be appreciative and grateful for what you’ve accomplished if you go straight to the finish line?  It is in the middle of those compromises when we are not yet serving our life’s purpose that becomes the necessary steps to get us there.

Of course, don’t think I haven’t wished for it at times, but if I went straight to victory I wouldn’t have had the challenges along the way to mold me into the person I need to be.  There have been many difficult challenges I can think of that I would’ve rather done without because they hurt too much and were unpleasant but they helped to create who I am today and knowing that now I don’t think I would change them.  It’s during difficulty that we find out our true strength of character, integrity and capabilities.

One of my biggest assets that continues to help me on the road to my life’s purpose is the Law of Attraction (LOA).  Visualization is something I’ve always been good at and is one of the keys to being able to attract what you want in life.   Seeing is believing and believing is seeing.  This is something you can train yourself to do, similar to learning how to do exercises properly to enhance your overall health.  Your mind can learn how to visualize, feel the emotions of those visualizations and that can create the outcome you desire.  Part of this process is that you need to follow your life in the path as if you are on the road to attaining these desires.  You can’t just imagine it, do nothing, and expect it to turn out as you want.   You have to take responsibility for the part you need to play, for example you can’t visualize a healthy and fit body and then stuff it with cookies and ice cream.  Same as you wouldn’t expect your car to run great if instead of gas you put in water.  You have to be in alignment with achieving what you visualize.  Don’t be hard on yourself to achieve and attain results immediately,  I still learn new things to incorporate into my process every day.

One of the biggest points that I’ve always felt is important is not just imagining or saying the words but feeling it within, really believing within yourself that what you desire is yours.  You can’t have your subconscious doubting it, every part of your being needs to firmly believe it without any doubt.

I’m sure you’ve noticed others that seem to be living a charmed life and it’s not just because they have had all the breaks or because they have horseshoes somewhere you can’t find them.  It’s because they are living in the positive, they are attracting all that they desire and deserve because ultimately they just believe

One thing to note is that you will attract whatever emotion you are feeding.  Please be very conscious to work hard to NOT feed the negative, you WILL get more of it, that is a guarantee.

Feed the positive, don’t you think you deserve it?

What are your Intentions?

Living Life with Purpose

Your intentions within your own life are very important to honor and follow.  When I was a teenager I had no idea what my intentions in life were and it took me a very long time to figure it out.  There were many kids in my school that already had a plan for their life’s direction.

The ones that had their ideas and plans made were what I consider now to be the lucky ones because they knew exactly what they wanted to do and what they needed to do to get it.

When I was young and immature I had judged that as being lame.  Nevermind the fact that I had no right to judge in the first place but when I look back now I cannot help but admire those kids, who are now adults, and mostly likely living their dreams.    I remember they were very driven and goal oriented and I can’t imagine that they wouldn’t have walked the path that they had charted.

If you were like me when I was young then there is no point in having regrets that hold you back now, there’s no such thing as “too late”.  Our intentions, no matter what they are, can feed our desired achievements now and well into the future.  It’s just a matter of believing in yourself, your dreams and the possibilities of the future that you want.

You’d be surprised at how simply shifting your thought process can directly affect the outcome of your reality.  Truly believe that you can achieve something, have your intentions and sense of purpose be in alignment with that and you will be unstoppable to attain exactly what you desire.

It’s those inner needs and instincts that are in alignment with your true purpose.  We always know when something doesn’t feel right but sometimes follow through anyway and that is when you are not in alignment with your soul.  Follow your inner needs and instincts and you will never be led astray.

I can’t even begin to tell you how free you will feel when you follow your life’s purpose which is also the path of least resistance and so much easier than battling to succeed at something that didn’t feel entirely right to begin with.

Don’t Dream Practical.

Dream Big!
