Stay Out of the Fray!

Keep Your Energy Positive

Your energy is more noticeable and influential than you may realize and introduces you before you even say a word.  I’m sure you have noticed at one time or another the energies of others, who feels approachable and who doesn’t.

If you are one of the approachable energies I’m sure you find that others are drawn to you and/or seek you out for communication and they are most often enjoyable.  The only instances when the communication has difficulty is when you are in the company of the unapproachable energies.

If you are one of the unapproachable energies you must notice that others steer clear when possible, ask few questions or provide short answers and your communications always seem to take a difficult turn.  If you feel you are an unapproachable energy below insight from Wayne Dyer will be a great mantra to adopt.

“When you have the choice to be right or to be kind, always choose kind”    – Wayne Dyer

Your energetic output is a choice!  One that you have full control over to revitalize and bring new life to.

Don’t deprive others of getting to see the real you, your authentic and vulnerable side.  I think it’s often thought of that vulnerability is too open and the possibility of being wounded emotionally is more likely than if you remain guarded and protected.  Yes that is true but unfortunately if you are guarded you are not just blocking out the bad you are also blocking out the good.  There is so much more beauty you have to share and when you embrace that authenticity it positively changes your energy.

I think you also will find that others are more attracted to you and your energy when you relax into that genuine part of yourself than when you have walls up.  You will notice a very serene and peaceful level of comfort in your authentic state that is unmatched by any mask you could ever wear to protect yourself from hurt.

Vulnerability is not weakness it is strength!

What would you attempt to do if you knew you would not fail?  It’s as simple as recognizing that the Universe has your back and the Law of Attraction (your thoughts positive or negative) complies with those dominant thoughts.  Your thoughts can either be inspiring or damaging to your personal success, pay very close attention to the ones you think about the most and be very selective with what you allow into your mind.

How high on the scale would your confidence be if you knew your success was a sure thing?  I bet you would be feeling pretty good, content and infallible.  So why not tell yourself fake it until you make it for now and that there is no room for any other outcome than what you envision.  When you tackle your challenges, hopes and dreams with this inner knowing those thoughts empower your confidence.  You just have to take the chance and believe in yourself.

Your alternative is to go against the natural flow and embrace fear based thoughts, which again the Law of Attraction will comply with.  The Law of Attraction is unbiased, neutral and impartial, there is no side it leans to except that which is your dominant thought.  Therefore if you decide to convince yourself that you are unworthy, not good enough, not smart enough, can’t get there from here mindset then you will get all of that which you do not want and it will take you down that spiral staircase into the fray.

Once you’ve let yourself be pulled into the negative fear based fray things in your life can tend to go awry, you experience roadblocks in all areas like the days when everything goes wrong and continues to snowball in that direction.

Sometimes these kind of days are the precursor that propel you into that fray and the thoughts can get wildly accelerated real quick, before you know it you are obsessing about your experiences and why they are occurring.  Sometimes when looking for the answers as to why things are going off course it’s natural to start concluding it’s you but usually it’s not.  Everyone has their own things to deal with and likely most people aren’t projecting or reacting because of you but rather because of what’s going on internally with them.  It’s really important to keep that in mind when you start spinning off in the wrong direction and find your energy and communications going sideways.

When you spend your time and energy entertaining the fray you inevitably head into negative territory and think of things you don’t really want to occur but they become your thoughts.  Again, be very careful with your thoughts, only give energy to the ones you want to manifest into reality and discard the rest.  Not everything requires your attention or focus, use your attention wisely, you don’t want to risk supporting something you don’t need in your life.

Check your energy often.  Your mental and emotional health is as important as your physical health and just as important as the relationships you want in your life which all require a certain amount of attention and love.

Don’t let your experiences that have caused damage color or define you, be you, shine your light bright !!

What Are You Talking About?

Your Thoughts and Energy are a Package Deal

Have you ever noticed that what you consistently think and/or talk about is what keeps showing up in your life?  Chances are it’s the negative aspect that you probably notice the most because it’s what you don’t want.  Positive occurrences are most times thought of as luck and not the manifestation of your thoughts, even when they are positive.

Depending upon which energetic field your thoughts and conversations fall under (positive or negative), you can expect it will all become a self-actualizing prophecy for you because your thoughts and energy are a package deal.  What you think and talk about is what you will create, so be very wary of which energy you are feeding.

I think we all notice the result of negative thinking more because it’s an aggravation to have it show up in your life, so you stress about it, talk with others about how bothered you are by it.

Pay attention dear one, you are now feeding it!

I think everyone has had the bad day, the bad week, the bad month, hopefully not so much the bad year but all of this is the creation of your thoughts.  It’s hard to change the process around from talking about the things that you don’t want especially when they are upsetting to you.  It’s a natural thing to want to discuss, deal and discard the things that have either hurt or hindered you from moving in the direction you want to see yourself going.

By becoming aware of how those thoughts and conversations are influencing what you see develop day after day in your life you will understand how important it is to curb anything negative.  No matter how hard it is at the beginning to change that habit, that addiction to processing, the changes you see develop as a result will be inspiration enough to continue on.  Day by day it becomes easier to let those irritations not weave their way back in and you will see a new habit evolve, a healthier way of life that leads you to the things you want and the things that are meant for you.

Are you seeing the light?  That’s really what it’s like, the positive aspects of life bring a lightness to your life because you are allowing the weight, the heaviness of the negativity to be lifted from you and in reality all you’ve done is allowed your soul its freedom.  The soul, your inner spirit seeks purpose, connection, and an environment that inspires and cultivates your higher calling.  Imagine a place where all things are possible, this is it!

Why do we not embrace it?  Simply because it is the ego that keeps you immersed in a negative, fear based state, all for the sake of controlling you from believing that you can access this place, this state, this happiness.

ego-soul

I’ve always heard that comparison and it had been difficult for me to recognize/differenciate the two (ego & spirit), I didn’t feel like there was any power struggle actually going on, at least nothing that I could easily identify.  When the ego is trying to control though I’ve learned to recognize how it affects me physically and emotionally which shows up like stress, anxiety, a general feeling of disarray in my thoughts which is ultimately resistance between the two opposing sides.

I think how it presents itself is different in everyone.  We are all unique so it makes sense that it’s not a one-size-fits-all kind of answer or solution, it’s just a matter of raising your own awareness.  It’s not like being able to see the difference between colors of black and white but that is how opposing these two really are.

Ego (the brain) wants to rule because it knows, it knows better, it knows all and who’s going to argue, it’s gotten you this far hasn’t it?  Egotistical tells you how great you are, how much you deserve and where you should be.

Spirit (the soul) doesn’t want to rule anything, it wants to give you free will, to choose what your heart desires, to choose what nourishes and feeds your inner glory.  That’s it.

My four steps to counteracting my ego when I notice physical or emotional changes in my thoughts and energy are awareness, choice, acceptance and faith.

Awareness:  Learn to recognize how your external world affects your internal thoughts and energy, what triggers the negative and what cultivates the positive.

Choice:  You always have a choice!  The reasons you choose to tell yourself as to why you can’t do or change something is always prompted by the ego.  Choose to shut it out.  Choose to find greater understanding and awareness, it will show up because once you’ve made that choice you are now open to those answers.

Acceptance:  It’s not always easy to accept the things you cannot change but accepting that you don’t know everything all the time, that maybe some things you’re not supposed to change, sometimes you’re supposed to adapt.  Maybe the Universe has a different plan!

Faith:  When you fall into a dark place sometimes it’s hard to have faith, this is where I think acceptance is linked.  Everything happens for a reason, even things you don’t understand, the bad things too and how could there possibly be a reason for them?  The understanding comes later, sometimes years later but I think it occurs when you’ve made that shift, embraced that which you don’t understand but made it through the storm anyway.

These “Lessons of the Tao” which I became aware of, with great thanks to Dr. Wayne Dyer (1941-2015), help to keep things in perspective for me;

  • Change your thoughts and your life will change
  • There is no way to happiness, happiness is the way
  • You accomplish much by trying less
  • Trust in others to know what’s best for themselves
  • Live without attachment and be generous
  • When you have a choice to be right or to be kind, always pick kind
  • Rather than looking for miracles, see everything as a miracle in your life

Change the Way You Look at Things

The Things you Look at Change!

I know I’ve written about this very topic before but sometimes reminders are necessary, especially for me. When you get too involved in an emotion you end up creating the outcome of least desire whether you realize it or not. Law of attraction says what you think about most is what grows, so even if it’s something you don’t want when you give it more of your energy you end up keeping it alive and feeding it which helps it continue to grow and be a daily part of your life.

I do this at times and even though I realize I am feeding the wrong emotion and desired outcome sometimes it’s hard to turn it off. When you have an issue that weighs on your mind I think it’s natural to think about it more than needed and sometimes overthink it which brings about more of what you don’t want.

Do you ever end up over-analyzing, over-thinking, over-obsessing about all the wrong things only to realize in the end that your worry seemed to magnify your issues more than anything else? Does all that you were worrying about ever manifest the way you envision it? Most of the time it ends up being useless worrying that has caused the extra stress, usually everything works out ok and the thing that was stressing you out the most was you.if-you-change-the-way-you-look-at-things-wayne-dyer

It’s so important for me and you (if you get stuck like this) to change the way you are looking at things because I can guarantee you every time I’ve done that it’s actually changed the way things are. Not for any other reason than the fact that I’ve removed the energy I’m giving to what I don’t want and putting it in the direction of what is better for me.

Get out of your own way by changing the way you are looking at things so that your life can start to fall into the places it’s meant to be. When you do this you will be amazed at how things change, it allows the things that were of such bother to you to drop in importance reducing what you don’t want and increasing the more positive aspects of your life so they can flourish as they are supposed to.

I know this sounds like it’s not really possible, especially if you have some huge issues going on but really when you take away the energy and time you put into the things you don’t want they start to diminish, maybe not immediately but over time (and I don’t mean years). In addition to the outward effect when you remove your energy from what you don’t want, you start to feel lighter and happier because not only was your energy feeding that negativity but it was draining you as well.

Freeing up the space of positive possibilities attracts more of the options you desire because as you move into a better space of thought you become more aligned with the Universe and your personal power and that is the energy you want to feed and grow.

It is only when you are in alignment with all things positive that your life will start to gravitate in the direction you desire. Learning to be aware of your thoughts and feelings so you can identify when you step onto the path of negative thinking will be a strong ally on your road of life and one you shouldn’t do without.

Always remember YOU are in control on what you think and what you feel, you can change both whenever you want simply by shifting what you are giving energy to with your focus. You can change anything aspect of your life you want simply by deciding to and at any moment. The questions you have to ask yourself are;

  • Are you willing to walk away from the darkness that hides your negative moments?

and

  • Are you ready to step into the light that catapults you to your positive life?

If you’ve truthfully, deep down in your soul answered yes to both than you’ve taken the first simple step, the decision. That’s usually the hardest part to address because while everyone wants to be happy, not all are ready to accept it without skepticism or questions.

It’s a charmed life, be open, ready and grateful to live it?

more life to live

Do I Know You?

I Think We’ve Been Disconnected

Not all relationships are meant to stand the tests of time, some are a mere passing on the road of life, some are to assist with lessons and some are the lessons. Learning to understand and differenciate the two is a life lesson in itself, honestly I think the difficult stuff is there to keep us humbled so we don’t get egos that are wildly overgrown.

its sad

It’s sad when people you know become people you knew, sometimes others don’t realize you’re a lifer or you don’t realize they are a lesson.

Your path was in place long before you arrived and you navigate without knowing the plans ahead not just because you are in search of the answers but in search of your best life, which I refer to as the charmed life.

If you are influenced with a positive mindset then you are chasing your dreams, looking to create and cultivate positive change that enhances the lives of everyone you touch.

If you are influenced with a negative mindset then you are expecting your dreams to chase you, believing positive change won’t happen and not wanting to do the work.

Both of these mindsets influence and/or affect your relationships and the conversations within those relationships. It takes authenticity to build and maintain relationships and only one moment of disrespect to hurt them. Left unaddressed that dent in the armor of the relationship can cause distance and from distance comes disconnection and disassociation.different paths

Your path is meant for you, some people will stay and travel on it with you because their path is running parallel to yours, maybe you each have something to offer, inspire or motivate the other. These are spiritual agreements and those choices were made consciously prior to your arrivals. Challenges arise when forks in the road present themselves, decisions are required and your free will is granted, depending on the spiritual agreements with those on the parallel paths this may be where a disconnection occurs, not that there is some sort of ending but rather another beginning that only you have chosen to take. Sometimes you meet up again much farther ahead because the two paths cross again and depending on the disconnection, maybe you pick back up where you left off or maybe you don’t. I have more in-depth thoughts about those that come into your life on a previous blog “In Your Life for a Reason, Season or a Lifetime”.

The experiences you have when off the beaten path are needed to build inner strength, wisdom and courage for the next leg of your journey. There are sometimes hills to climb and storms that need to pass but eventually the sun comes out again.

Every once in a while you see a signpost on your path, a déjà vu of sorts, that reminds you of past relations and experiences. These signposts have been strategically placed, maybe a similar experience is ahead on your path that requires your awareness so you can be prepared.

The sum of all your experiences continue to shape who you are daily, if you allow the negative to live in your energy you can expect that nothing will go your way until you shift it.

Happy Thanksgiving Canada!

A Day of Gratitude

Although the day of Thanksgiving is different in Canada than in the United States, the meaning is the same, it’s the day of thanks for all we appreciate and have gratitude for.

It’s important to have gratitude in your life, not just on Thanksgiving but as a daily ritual. I think too many times at the end of the day we find ourselves focusing on the things that didn’t go right instead of the things that did and it’s the thoughts that you feed the most that are going to grow.

If I am going to increase any specific state of being gratitude is the best place to start, it positively enhances all aspects of your life and builds an inner strength of character that is unmatched and unaffected by negativity.

gratitude, parent

Gratitude, appreciation and thanks for all that your life has brought to you so far will increase growth in the direction you seek. Your path will have many opportunities, obstacles and lessons along the way and understanding that they are all a part of your personal journey will help you to embrace the wisdom that gratitude ushers in.

Gratitude isn’t just a “means to an end”, it is a way of life that opens up so many other doors, ones you couldn’t imagine or know were there because it’s not just about giving thanks, it is a conscious shift into this state of being that is transitioned not just through forgiveness but awareness, vulnerability and acceptance as well and with it comes a state of happiness that you cannot buy, manipulate or manufacture.

There are many different ways to transition yourself into a daily gratitude ritual and it’s just a matter of finding the one that fits best for you. Possibilities I’ve heard of are starting a gratitude journal that you make entries into on either a daily, weekly or monthly basis. It’s a matter of being able to find that time to focus and make it an important part of your life because once you do those are the thoughts you are feeding and as a result they will grow.

The more you have gratitude for the more you will see the results of that gratitude manifest in your life. If you aren’t one that finds it easy to write your thoughts down, you could take a period of time in your day where you use your thoughts internally, like some of do at the end of the night before falling asleep. Honestly I think it would be better to replay thoughts of gratitude before falling asleep instead of occurrences of the day as it is a more positive place to have your subconscious drift into while you sleep and can then permeate those thoughts into flourishing throughout the following day.

It takes discipline at the beginning to maintain whichever gratitude process you create but as soon as it starts to become personal habit it will then be effortless and you will see your life change in all the ways you had hoped for.

happy thanksgiving

What are your Intentions?

Living Life with Purpose

Your intentions within your own life are very important to honor and follow.  When I was a teenager I had no idea what my intentions in life were and it took me a very long time to figure it out.  There were many kids in my school that already had a plan for their life’s direction.

The ones that had their ideas and plans made were what I consider now to be the lucky ones because they knew exactly what they wanted to do and what they needed to do to get it.

When I was young and immature I had judged that as being lame.  Nevermind the fact that I had no right to judge in the first place but when I look back now I cannot help but admire those kids, who are now adults, and mostly likely living their dreams.    I remember they were very driven and goal oriented and I can’t imagine that they wouldn’t have walked the path that they had charted.

If you were like me when I was young then there is no point in having regrets that hold you back now, there’s no such thing as “too late”.  Our intentions, no matter what they are, can feed our desired achievements now and well into the future.  It’s just a matter of believing in yourself, your dreams and the possibilities of the future that you want.

You’d be surprised at how simply shifting your thought process can directly affect the outcome of your reality.  Truly believe that you can achieve something, have your intentions and sense of purpose be in alignment with that and you will be unstoppable to attain exactly what you desire.

It’s those inner needs and instincts that are in alignment with your true purpose.  We always know when something doesn’t feel right but sometimes follow through anyway and that is when you are not in alignment with your soul.  Follow your inner needs and instincts and you will never be led astray.

I can’t even begin to tell you how free you will feel when you follow your life’s purpose which is also the path of least resistance and so much easier than battling to succeed at something that didn’t feel entirely right to begin with.

Don’t Dream Practical.

Dream Big!
