Come to the Edge

I Will Meet You There!

Finding that one soul, the one that speaks to your passion, purpose, faith, integrity, imagination, humor and weird quirks.  It’s not without difficulty and determination that you hold onto the flames that ignite and inspire your heart and soul, sometimes things feel dim, sometimes the light seems extinguished.  It’s not though, it still burns, just not as bright as when you are embracing, breathing and feeling that magical love.

Seeking and finding your “one and only” requests patience and faith, it’s about knowing, honoring and trusting what is in your heart.  Have you drawn a certain picture?  It doesn’t have to be overly specific it just has to resonate and speak to your soul, don’t let go of it!  That look, that moment, it may seem rather fairytale but why not, what’s wrong with happy endings?  They do exist within our reality, within your deepest yearnings, within the corners of your mind, you have to keep believing in it.  As you sift through the many faces to find that one soul you recognize all the pieces then fall into place, you truly feel illuminated and it feels like home.  It’s like you’ve known each other a thousand lifetimes and that soul connection realigns and blends right back together.  It’s not about what one can do for the other, you live to create and nurture those little moments where nothing monumental is happening yet it feels endearing and peaceful because you are so totally connected.  There is no room for negativity like jealousy or control because they do not exist, your hearts are too closely entwined together to come apart by such minor and petty interferences.

You cannot cling too tightly to your vision otherwise your arms will not be open to welcome it in.  The most significant element is to release it, let it go so it can soar, what is meant for you will never pass you by.  Hold onto your faith that divine timing is at work behind the scenes to create and carry this magic into your life.

Better to stay faithful to this vision than be in union and left feeling lonely or sad because the connection is lacking or not there at all.

Just because you can’t see to the top of the staircase does not mean it isn’t there.

I’m fascinated by your love, your light, your heart.

Good Thoughts, Good Words, Good Deeds!

The New Normal for now…

Well this hardly feels normal but then again maybe the world could use a slowdown, to remember and re-integrate practices in life that have long been forgotten or dropped entirely.  With so much stimulation at our fingertips every hour of every day I would venture to say that many of us were constantly running around and most times on empty, perhaps this is the Universe’s way of cleansing out these toxins.

It’s not surprising that there was so much instant gratification available in the world until now, anyone trying to get anywhere had to be constantly on that wheel to stay ahead and relevant in the “human race”.  With these options now on global pause it gives us all new opportunities and while love may not be the answer to getting this new normal under control I believe it is the answer to getting through it.

  • Loving life and humanity enough to ensure you don’t take risks.
  • Moderating what you actually need so there is something for everyone.
  • Sharing what you can, when you can with those who are struggling.

I’ve always been so focused on my goals and dreams that when I get over one mountain I don’t take the time to celebrate and bask in the glory of my achievement before I start looking for the next mountain to climb.  While this is a good motivational plan, there are many steps that must be checked off and if I don’t take the time to enjoy the little victories how can I appreciate all that it took to get me there?  This global pause in a way has been good for me because I don’t have a choice.  #self-reflection, #faith

Everything in its time and everything in its place, we cannot manifest what we cannot embrace.

My visual analogy of the Universe as a whole is like a body of water, each of us the singular droplets that make it up.  How intimidating would you believe a droplet of water was compared to an ocean?  You see divided we do not have as much power but connected we are a force to be reckoned with.

It is the human “ego” that divides that connection, the part you fight with to maintain equilibrium.  Things that are so plain and simple become convoluted and messy when the ego gets involved.  It’s really easy to express authentically but it is rarely done.  Maybe now we get so much time with ourselves we grow a greater appreciation for connecting with others.  Maybe now we have compassion and empathy for those in difficult times and less fortunate.  Maybe now we respect and love our environment more so it can be bountiful for generations to come.

Maybe this world of anything and everything all at once and all the time is merely overwhelming and things couldn’t have continued so fast paced and addictive.  What can I say I’m a curious thinker?

So being inside I am bound to watch a movie or two and the one that was recently on again was the movie “Lucy”.  I’d seen it before a few years ago but the part of the movie that got my imagination going then and now was the part about the percentage of the brain we utilize.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_lbqGp7oZv0

A further extension of this was the theory regarding cells, choosing immortality or reproduction dependent upon the environment in which they reside.  I found this equally interesting and was very curious about the possibilities and parallels within our existence and environment.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ztoJVKXkc4M

I am by no means fully or even half versed in these topics but I do like to dive deep at times into a variety of thoughts while staying open to any and all perspectives and theories.  The reason this time brought this movie to my mind is because when things occur whether isolated or global my mind wants to look for the reasons and answers.  Sometimes I feel it is in the way we live, the way we treat others and the way we respect our environment.

With all the other awful things that go on in the world how well are we really taking care of each other?

This time, which I’m hearing a number of different timelines being projected for is creating a big change in the world around us.  The question is when all is said and done will we all go back to how it was before?  Can we?  Or is it possible that we create something new, something better, something positive?

Maybe this global pause will help us all re-ground ourselves and come to comfort within our hearts so we can start to see and connect with the glimpse of heaven that lies within all of us

Good Thoughts, Good Words, Good Deeds

What Are You Talking About?

Your Thoughts and Energy are a Package Deal

Have you ever noticed that what you consistently think and/or talk about is what keeps showing up in your life?  Chances are it’s the negative aspect that you probably notice the most because it’s what you don’t want.  Positive occurrences are most times thought of as luck and not the manifestation of your thoughts, even when they are positive.

Depending upon which energetic field your thoughts and conversations fall under (positive or negative), you can expect it will all become a self-actualizing prophecy for you because your thoughts and energy are a package deal.  What you think and talk about is what you will create, so be very wary of which energy you are feeding.

I think we all notice the result of negative thinking more because it’s an aggravation to have it show up in your life, so you stress about it, talk with others about how bothered you are by it.

Pay attention dear one, you are now feeding it!

I think everyone has had the bad day, the bad week, the bad month, hopefully not so much the bad year but all of this is the creation of your thoughts.  It’s hard to change the process around from talking about the things that you don’t want especially when they are upsetting to you.  It’s a natural thing to want to discuss, deal and discard the things that have either hurt or hindered you from moving in the direction you want to see yourself going.

By becoming aware of how those thoughts and conversations are influencing what you see develop day after day in your life you will understand how important it is to curb anything negative.  No matter how hard it is at the beginning to change that habit, that addiction to processing, the changes you see develop as a result will be inspiration enough to continue on.  Day by day it becomes easier to let those irritations not weave their way back in and you will see a new habit evolve, a healthier way of life that leads you to the things you want and the things that are meant for you.

Are you seeing the light?  That’s really what it’s like, the positive aspects of life bring a lightness to your life because you are allowing the weight, the heaviness of the negativity to be lifted from you and in reality all you’ve done is allowed your soul its freedom.  The soul, your inner spirit seeks purpose, connection, and an environment that inspires and cultivates your higher calling.  Imagine a place where all things are possible, this is it!

Why do we not embrace it?  Simply because it is the ego that keeps you immersed in a negative, fear based state, all for the sake of controlling you from believing that you can access this place, this state, this happiness.

ego-soul

I’ve always heard that comparison and it had been difficult for me to recognize/differenciate the two (ego & spirit), I didn’t feel like there was any power struggle actually going on, at least nothing that I could easily identify.  When the ego is trying to control though I’ve learned to recognize how it affects me physically and emotionally which shows up like stress, anxiety, a general feeling of disarray in my thoughts which is ultimately resistance between the two opposing sides.

I think how it presents itself is different in everyone.  We are all unique so it makes sense that it’s not a one-size-fits-all kind of answer or solution, it’s just a matter of raising your own awareness.  It’s not like being able to see the difference between colors of black and white but that is how opposing these two really are.

Ego (the brain) wants to rule because it knows, it knows better, it knows all and who’s going to argue, it’s gotten you this far hasn’t it?  Egotistical tells you how great you are, how much you deserve and where you should be.

Spirit (the soul) doesn’t want to rule anything, it wants to give you free will, to choose what your heart desires, to choose what nourishes and feeds your inner glory.  That’s it.

My four steps to counteracting my ego when I notice physical or emotional changes in my thoughts and energy are awareness, choice, acceptance and faith.

Awareness:  Learn to recognize how your external world affects your internal thoughts and energy, what triggers the negative and what cultivates the positive.

Choice:  You always have a choice!  The reasons you choose to tell yourself as to why you can’t do or change something is always prompted by the ego.  Choose to shut it out.  Choose to find greater understanding and awareness, it will show up because once you’ve made that choice you are now open to those answers.

Acceptance:  It’s not always easy to accept the things you cannot change but accepting that you don’t know everything all the time, that maybe some things you’re not supposed to change, sometimes you’re supposed to adapt.  Maybe the Universe has a different plan!

Faith:  When you fall into a dark place sometimes it’s hard to have faith, this is where I think acceptance is linked.  Everything happens for a reason, even things you don’t understand, the bad things too and how could there possibly be a reason for them?  The understanding comes later, sometimes years later but I think it occurs when you’ve made that shift, embraced that which you don’t understand but made it through the storm anyway.

These “Lessons of the Tao” which I became aware of, with great thanks to Dr. Wayne Dyer (1941-2015), help to keep things in perspective for me;

  • Change your thoughts and your life will change
  • There is no way to happiness, happiness is the way
  • You accomplish much by trying less
  • Trust in others to know what’s best for themselves
  • Live without attachment and be generous
  • When you have a choice to be right or to be kind, always pick kind
  • Rather than looking for miracles, see everything as a miracle in your life

Rise or Fall

What Is Your Objective?

Are you going to let the difficult times determine your value and quality of life?

Are you going to build your future on a foundation of pains from the past?

Or you going to let it inspire you to change the direction to a more positive outcome?

with-everything-that-has-happened

When you are feeling stuck which I think everyone has at one time or another (hopefully not too often) you are presented with an opportunity.  The only problem is most of the time you don’t see it as opportunity because when you’re in that place of feeling stuck there are other emotions going on that cloud your view.

The opportunity is change!  Changing your thoughts, changing your attitude, changing your outlook and ultimately changing your life direction.

When you move in the direction of positive change it alters everything in your life:

  • It starts with you and your thoughts, do they sway a little stronger one way or the other (positive or negative side)? What you tell yourself, especially from your subconscious impacts how you feel and how you feel impacts how you interact with others.
  • When your thoughts change so do your interactions with others and how you view and perceive them. Things that possibly annoyed you before begin to become not so important, not because someone else has changed but because you have.
  • When your attitude changes that changes your outlook and your world around you becomes less offensive, not because others have changed but because you have. It’s not “what you get is what you see”, it’s actually “what you see is what you get”.

I’m not going to lie, it’s hard to change your thinking around when you are coming from the place of feeling stuck.  It’s hard to find something solid to stand on so you can rise up from whatever has put you in this place but it is possible.

It takes only a quick shift of thought, that lightning moment to change the direction.  I know that when I get an idea in my head I don’t let it go until I’ve exhausted everything trying.

No one is a failure for trying something that didn’t work, not trying will do more damage to you emotionally through regret than any effort ever made that didn’t work.

Vulnerability is the only way and it’s scary to put yourself out there especially when you don’t know the answers or feel you aren’t ready or strong enough to have them heard but it is such a freeing place to be.  When you allow yourself to be vulnerable there’s nothing left to hide, nothing left to expose or exploit, that changes it into power, personal power!

Whatever caused you to feel stuck is usually not something external but something you find the answers for internally.  Circumstance is just that and circumstance cannot hinder your personal power only you can do that by thinking you are powerless to change a situation.

All situations can be challenged and possibly changed and feeling stuck is only a state of mind, one caused by your own resistance of thinking you are powerless.

Bottom line is you need to be the change you wish to see!

Soul Beginnings

The Existence of the Soul?

Déjà vu or misplaced memory? Do you believe in past lives and/or reincarnation of the soul? Have you ever had a moment that seemed so oddly familiar that you know you’ve been in that space of time in the same conversation, place or event before?

I’ve experienced these kinds of moments a few times and during that moment of familiarity it almost feels like things are moving in slow motion as I begin to make the connection and a sense or feeling comes to the surface. I do believe that these are the signposts along your journey to let you know you’re on the right path and meeting the right connections.

I’m not overly religious or immersed in any one belief system, I believe that all belief systems at the core have the same root in that they all stem from a higher source of power that we pay homage to and acknowledge. The fine details of each may differ but the purpose of the collective is having faith in something bigger than ourselves. Of course it is the option through free will that each of you get to choose or not choose where you want to place your faith but I don’t believe that the strength of your faith is dependent upon where or how you choose to honor it but rather the depth of your integrity, gratitude for life and compassion towards others.

A few years ago I had read a theory in a book by Sylvia Browne about past lives and her reference to what she called “bleed-throughs”, it has been a few years since I read this so I do not remember it exactly as it was written but the jist of her theory was with relation to someone experiencing a multiple personality and the possibility may not necessarily be a disorder but rather a bleed-through of a personality from a past life. I found this theory really interesting and wondered how far back into past lives these bleed-throughs can manifest from, maybe all the way back from the soul beginnings?

There are many accredited practitioners and psychiatrists, etc., that treat patients with past life regression therapy and/or hypnotherapy, so if the belief is there isn’t there a possibility that a past life has memories rooted in the soul so strongly that they may be blending in the current life you lead?

I recently watched an episode I had PVR’d of Oprah’s “Super Soul Sunday” with Dr. Brian Weiss who spoke about past lives and their impact which only furthered my interest in the subject of where it all begins for each soul. He spoke of one particular patient that turned his entire traditional training and belief system in a complete 180 degrees and how it changed his life direction and purpose. I imagine that even in the ideals of those in clinical and scientific study that rely and depend on factual evidence, thoughts or talk of this subject could be considered suicidal to a career, especially 30 years ago so I’d definitely say he was a trailblazer.

ManyLivesManyMastersMiraclesHappen

I am happy to see these skeptical subjects that long ago would have been considered “crazy talk” are now coming into the forefront of conversation and people are interested to know more. These topics aren’t easily proved because they lack the tangible and fact based evidence that is usually a requirement within anything of scientific nature. I think the biggest aspect of believing in the possibility of soul beginnings, intuitiveness and psychic experiences is within the foundation of your faith in the existence of things that you cannot see or touch.

With every life experience comes the opportunity to evolve your spirit more. I wouldn’t think that there would be anything awful about the thought of multiple life experiences because it just means you keep getting more opportunities to get things right, to progress and advance your soul’s higher learning.

My life experiences so far have continued to strengthen my belief in that higher source of power, when I feel unsettled I find inspiration comes in which reconnects me to the Universal source of energy that resonates within my soul. I trust that by following my instincts I will continue to follow my passion which in turn keeps me in alignment with my life’s purpose.

Things are shifting aren’t they and the more they shift the more connected we all become!

always believe

If You Build It, They Will Come

Believe It Can Happen!

One of the single most important aspects to manifesting your dreams is believing it will happen!

Whatever you seek in life is dependent upon your belief that it will actually happen and when you do fully believe you start living your life as if these things are already happening or on their way. Whether you realize it or not, this shift in your perspective and outlook makes room internally as well as externally and as a result you open the door to accept happiness and peace into your soul.

“If you build it, they will come”, speaking metaphorically of course, because it’s not just about that movie and building a baseball field, it applies to everything within your life and is exactly the state of belief and unwavering faith you need to embrace so the changes you wish to see can begin to manifest. You must be willing and open to change, you must be willing to do the work and make sacrifices, when the time is right the rewards will follow.

belief

Sometimes though the rewards don’t turn out to be specifically what you expected and by that I don’t mean that you do the work and you there are no rewards; I mean that sometimes the work leads you to another path, one that has different challenges and/or roadblocks you might not have encountered otherwise and that changes the rewards. I believe that everything in life begins as part of the imagination and that inspires creativity, when you come up with an idea about something sometimes you have different thoughts along the way that change the original idea, that’s creativity! Creativity inspired can blossom into so many other areas that the possibilities become endless so when I say that sometimes the rewards change it is because the creativity that surrounds you is constantly moving.

Similarly you also are always moving, changing, adapting, creating, imagining, etc. When you operate in this state you are in alignment with the Universe as it is also moving, changing, adapting, creating, imagining, etc.

It makes sense that when you are operating within that alignment that YOUR possibilities become endless.

It’s the Law of Attraction, I’m sure you’ve noticed at certain times in your life when things just flow, like you’re “in the zone” and everything is working out beautifully. Alternatively there are also the times when everything seems to go wrong in a day and those are the days when you are not in alignment, you’re “out of the zone”. Most times you fall “out of the zone” is when you are resisting, likely one of life’s lessons, and believe me the more you resist the more you will have days like that.

I think sometimes resistance is the response to anything that is painful or challenging because it is much easier to look away from your pain or challenges than stare it down and deal with it. Understandably some difficulties take more from you than you want to allow but I’ve learned that when I face obstacles it builds me back stronger. I can honestly say that when it comes to life’s lessons there is no comparison to the strong sense of self you gain when you rise to the occasion.

Life’s lessons will open you to new understanding, perspective and outlook all of which will change who you are and how you view your world, these lessons are here to help you, not break you.

It isn’t until you are humbled by life’s lessons that you really develop the understanding of the bigger picture and of course that brings a whole other set of questions. The difference is that these questions become more about substance than material, more about internal than external and more about spirit than ego.

If You Build It, They Will Come!

love life, it will love you back

Where’s My Sign?

Which Way Do I Go?

I have always believed in signs, how every experience directs or re-directs you to a new path and that all signs manifest as a result of your conscious choices whether they were good ones or not. Your signs find their way to you but ultimately you need to be available (emotionally, mentally & spiritually) to see and embrace them.signs

Not every sign is crystal clear, wouldn’t it be nice if it were? That would make things so much easier and reduce the chances of ever misreading them. Although I think that may be the point, you can’t be led by the hand to every experience, some of the best ones are stumbled upon as if by accident but I don’t believe in accidents, everything does happen for a reason whether you realize it at the time or not.

Have you ever noticed how some people come into your life at just the right time, maybe a time when you were going to give up on something and their presence inspires you to keep going? Or maybe a time when you needed the help of someone of specific placement to give you that extra reach and there they appear? Some just come along to walk with you through it all and some for specific points in time, maybe to shift you in a new direction of a sign you’ve not been able to see yet or maybe to provoke the change you need to forge ahead.

I’ve tried at times to step outside myself as if to look in and while it seems weird to think, sometimes the way things all come together appear to be beautifully mastered by an outside influence. When you are in alignment with all things positive and your intention matches that alignment your life starts to open up and the signs that were always there become much more visible.

How do you know what is truly a sign?

  • The true signs are something you feel instinctively, I used to doubt my instincts not because of any sort of lower-self thinking or lack of self-awareness but because my ego had me believing I knew more, isn’t it great how that ego always leads you to believe that? Any time you have an instinctual thought, feeling or reaction it is truth from your higher self, wanting to be heard and the worst thing you can do is not listen. The signs tend to continue hitting harder each time they present but at some point when you just aren’t getting it and the time for that moment the sign represented has passed they start to diminish just like your ability to hear your instincts, eventually the voice gets quieted so low you can no longer hear it and your signs fade away along with the positive gifts they carried. At this point though all is not lost, the opportunity to see, read and hear new signs will always be available and all it takes is shifting your perspective to the light inside (that is you) and trusting that what you see and feel is something you can believe in, your inner self never guides you astray because it has your best interest, always!

How do you know you’re not just imagining/seeing something that isn’t there?

  • This is a question I’ve asked myself because I tend to get overly passionate and pursuant of my goals at times, that’s just who I am. So am I creating these signs as a result of my imagination and desires? Or are they true signs? Again, this is something only your instinct will know, if it’s a true sign you will feel it, your emotional connection to your higher self is always there to guide you, listen to it. When you have a feeling, act, I can guarantee you will never regret it because at the very least you will never wonder where things would have taken you, you will know.

The signs in life are like signposts on the road, as you travel on the road the signs tell you how much further you have to go, they also tell you that you are on the right track and that’s what the signs in life do as well. They are the significant or insignificant reminders that you are still on the right road destined toward the unknown but hopeful and faith enduring enough to keep going.

Pay attention to all your signs (big and little), heed the warnings and urgings or your instincts, even if you think your making something up in your head let it ride out and see where it takes you, it’s the scariest moments that bring about the greatest change.

Everything in its Time, and…

Everything in its Place

Have you ever wondered why things work out mysteriously the way they do? How an outcome at the time seems strange but later make sense? When you have a conversation or experience that seems oddly familiar, like a déjà vu?

I often think that there is a Universal master plan when I experience these déjà vu moments and especially when an outcome that I didn’t believe was of benefit becomes a later realization of better than I could have designed. I do believe that everything happens for a reason and have faith that the answers will eventually become clear, trusting in that faith is what helps keep the intensity of the storms in perspective. I do find though that more often than not things work and balance out to my benefit, having a positive attitude and outlook on life definitely helps. It’s not that every day is a fabulous one and that it’s all rainbows and roses, everyone including me has their down times but I work hard to keep those down times from defining my life.

I do find it curious how different scenarios play out and at times it does feel like some sort of divine and/or universal intervention is in effect. I do believe we are all connected to each other and I think how that is felt depends on how deep of an impact the connection actually was or still is. Have you ever had the thought of someone and then they call you or a song comes on the radio that is one you connect with that person. I think the song example is usually related to past connections and the phone call is related to current. Just my experiences so far, that is by no way a fact and how you sense, feel or think of those connections will likely be different for everyone.

What are your big questions, what stirs your spirit, what stirs your curiosity? I love having the conversations with people that are thought provoking, eye opening and inspiring. The conversations that challenge and ignite my thirst for answers to my biggest questions and the desire to dig deeper. If I don’t keep challenging myself than it feels like I’m just going through the motions of each day without any direction, I mean it has to be about something, doesn’t it?

It’s about connecting with others on a soul level that doesn’t just touch your heart but your spirit so you feel connected on a deeper level that is beyond deciphering it. This is what I feel is “everything in its place” because sometimes it feels as if there was no reason except every reason for you to connect with someone on that level. Some people come into our lives without a purpose and with every purpose, which eventually makes sense so much that you couldn’t imagine them not in your life. You find that anything and everything is on topic and you become immediately enmeshed as if you had known each other for longer than your current time.

It makes sense to me that we come into this life without intent or knowledge of the plan which I feel is “everything in its time” and every once in a while the déjà vu moments are like signposts to let us know we are on the right path and going in the right direction. Whether you desire change or not it’s going to happen and the more accepting you become of impending change the easier it will be to adjust when it occurs. Not everything is going to be easy and it’s not meant to but the people that come into place in your life have a purpose, some are there to help, to inspire or to motivate change. Some of them are meant to stay longer than others and some are for lifetime, I have a more in depth look at this in a past blog “In Your Life for a Reason, a Season or a Lifetime”.

I think it’s really important to always remember that none of your challenges are meant to break or define you, they are all meant to help you grow. When you embrace that understanding the storms won’t seem as rough because you’ll have faith that new wisdom and growth is just around the corner.

Looking Ahead

While Staying Present!

It’s necessary to find a happy medium between these two states in order to find success within both.

Looking Ahead – Of course everyone looks ahead to the future, that’s where we place all the beautiful and dreamy things we want to accomplish. Rome wasn’t built in a day, right? Obviously, which is why we set goals within timeframes that are attainable but keep in mind that those timeframes can be flexible, just because you haven’t reached a goal at a point when you expected doesn’t mean you give up or abandon the dream, it just means the timeframe gets extended. I’ve always set my goals a little higher because I have big dreams and high expectations and at times I’ve been told I’m a dreamer but so far the dreams I really wanted to work out have manifested, maybe not always for when I planned them but usually when I’ve used every last bit of effort I have and left nothing on the table. Success from really hard work has both internal and external rewards but honestly I think internally, pride of accomplishment when in pursuit of your dreams is more rewarding than the actual success.

–        If everything in life is easily accomplished then where’s the challenge?

–        How do you know how far you can push yourself if you never extend past that comfort zone?

–        How do you know what you’re capable of or how far you can go if you’ve never stood near the edge?

Staying Present – I think this is where balance is most needed, at least for me because it’s easy to look ahead and dream but it’s difficult to know what you see in the picture ahead and not yet be there, especially if patience isn’t your strongest suit. I’ve struggled with this because I have a lot of energy for moving forward and getting things done and most of the time I get impatient with the stride, especially if it gets slowed down for any reason. Even though I know that all things happen for a reason, it’s a difficult thing for me to accept when I want to be on the fast track, when I can see what lies ahead but I can’t quite get there yet. Similar to a long distance runner, they pace themselves, they find a comfortable stride and stay in that zone to maintain it. This is a great asset although I haven’t fully developed it yet, I’ve been forced into it at times and even though I think it’s necessary to help increase aspects of my character through obstacles that help build and challenge me sometimes I overthink it and it becomes overwhelming.

Just recently I had to slow my stride and I think it’s because I wasn’t balanced between these two states, I was overanxious to move ahead and tried to push past the Universe’s timeline for all things progressing, not just my own.

Not everything in life progresses as we initially envision it, as events unfold, the picture transpires, adapts or changes. Sometimes the end result we initially saw or wanted changes into something we desire more or didn’t realize at the time because emotionally we weren’t there yet.

As I challenge myself personally so do those in my life and the Universe challenges us all through experiences that we sometimes face together. Through those experiences bonds are formed and/or strengthened by an immeasurable faith in humanity and each other.

thank-you for being there

The Universe Knows More Than I

Resistance is Futile!

There is no point in challenging the Universe!  I have learned to accept this because the Universe knows more than I do about what is on the horizon and my life always adjusts accordingly, my resistance is futile!

Change happens and how well the transition goes depends on how well I adapt to it and how willing I am to accept it.  One thing I’ve noticed, for myself especially, is that change is just about to happen when I feel like I’m at a low point.  Like the calm before the storm, it’s that quieter moment when it feels like nothing is happening or is going to happen and then all of a sudden it does and how I respond determines how many opportunities arise as a result.

lion,change quote

If I resist, then the amount of opportunities diminish, not for any other reason than my resistance has squelched the momentum.  They are called opportunities because they require your call to action; some of them are fleeting moments and you need to act right away and some hang around available for a longer period of time.  I’ve found that the bigger opportunities involve bigger risks and by risks I mean vulnerability, when I’m scared of that moment I’ve found it’s usually a big opportunity and one that advances me much farther in my personal development and goals.

If I embrace, then more opportunities arise because I am keeping the momentum on an upward swing and embracing is a positive responsive action, positive actions create positive results, always!  Opportunities have a way of expanding if you give them the room to grow and evolve and the more room you give them the wider the spectrum becomes which equals more options.  The more options I have or create for myself the easier my life becomes.  Without options I feel stifled and trapped, unable to have the room to breathe that I need and that feeling prevents other options from arising, it can also manifest in other ways through physical or emotional well-being.

Learn how to inspire yourself when needed, not every day is a fantastic day, down time is essential to keep life balanced but finding the things that can change how your day is going in a positive way when you most need it is an important skill to develop.

Learn to recognize when change is on the horizon for you, what it feels like, how it affects you and how to utilize all the positive aspects to increase your opportunities.

–          Be aware but don’t be afraid.

–          Take chances but know your limitations.

–          Be realistic but believe in your dreams.

Always know that you can do anything you want as long as your heart and mind are truly in it.  The only person that ever stands in your way is you, not the Universe.

The Universe supports your path even if you haven’t yet realized which path that is, it will constantly lead and inspire you to move in that direction.

trust the universe
