I Appreciate It!

Be Thankful in All Things!

When you have appreciation for all things in your life I believe that creates a trickle effect and the positive occurrences continue throughout your day as your appreciation grows.

So you wake up a little late but luckily it’s a good hair day, the outfit you picked out feels perfectly comfortable and even though you didn’t have enough time to fix yourself a morning snack things are going good.  On your way to work every light is green so you arrive 10 minutes early and when you get there you find that your boss brought in coffee and muffins for everyone.  Perfect, morning snack problem solved!  I’ve had this kind of day and it’s only gotten better from there and I really do believe it’s because I am able to get so excited about the little things.  I’ve found that when I approach life from that mindset great things just keep happening.  Others have told me that I just have “good luck” and even though that is probably part of it I think the other part is the mindset.  It’s all in what you believe and how you perceive your life to be going.  I also believe I have “good luck” and that belief helps to create that good luck and keep it flowing (Law of Attraction).

Have you ever been driving down the road toward the green light and thinking it’s going to change and then it does, I know that’s a chance thing but I do think it’s also a belief thing, try saying out loud to the universe “thank you for not changing until I get through”.

Every time I’ve headed off to the grocery store, shopping mall or anywhere that requires parking I always head to the spots closest to the store and much to the chagrin of my passenger who says “it’s packed, you’re never going to find a spot up there” and I always respond “my parking spot is always at the front”, and it always goes just that way.  I will get there and the spot will be free or someone will just be pulling out and it’s not just because I’m lucky but because I’m already appreciating the universe for providing me with that great parking spot I’m envisioning.  I’ve been successful with this process even at Christmas (the busiest of seasons), the biggest part of it is living in appreciation and thanking the universe for these wonderful and lucky opportunities.

So I tried to explain this mindset to a friend who said, ok, I’ll try it, but I don’t think it’s going to change anything.  Right there!  That’s it!  You’ve just cut it off from having the chance to happen.  If you don’t honestly believe in the mindset and you’re already knocking it down with a “sure I’ll try it but I don’t believe it will work” then the universe will give you exactly what you believe!  Again, Law of Attraction.

I truly find excitement in the smallest things and I realize that finding a great parking spot or the perfect tasting coffee is so minimal and trivial but in reality if I can find excitement and appreciation in those then the bigger things will be that much better and I will be that much more excited and appreciative.  The outcomes for these types of positive experiences I’ve had, big or small, have taught me that this mindset definitely works.

Along with developing and believing wholeheartedly in this mindset, you must also believe it in your subconscious and it has to feel natural.  An example is the friend I tried to explain the mindset to above, the reason it was so difficult to accept is because changing the belief system that way didn’t at all feel natural.  I really wish I had a strategy I could recommend that would work for making this kind of adjustment to your belief system and having it feel natural.  There was no adjustment for me to make as I’ve always viewed things from this perspective and mindset so natural is how it has always felt.

I do know that when it comes to anything in your life and making changes it all starts with you:

–          you really have to want it

–          you really have to believe in yourself

–          live in appreciation

When you have all of these beliefs you can do anything you want to!

Ingredients for Life!

Life Equals Pie

I was given a fabulous concept from a very good friend of mine for a great topic this week!  The concept is creating an analogy between our life journeys and a favorite dessert and all the ingredients and layers create our own recipe for personal success, whatever that may be.

Much like the ingredients in any dessert, depending on which one you choose, there are usually layers and levels of design.  I’ve chosen Banana Cream Pie because it would contain a good level of ingredients to create this analogy.

Banana Cream Pie:

  • 3 cups of Love
  • 2 cups of Integrity
  • 2 cups of Pride
  • 1 cup of Self-Respect
  • 1 cup of Respect for others
  • 1 cup of Positive Attitude
  • ½ cup of Compassion
  • ½ cup of Empathy
  • 3 tablespoons of Confidence
  • 3 tablespoons of Determination
  • 3 tablespoons of Courage
  • A dash of Assertiveness
  • 12 ounces of water for personal wellness

Frosting:   The Law of Attraction

  • 1 cup of Intention
  • 1 cup of Faith
  • 1 cup of Appreciation
  • 1 cup of Gratitude

Directions:

Mix all ingredients together until they are well blended and you are feeling content.  I was going to add an ingredient to enhance humility but I believe that the emotion of remaining humble would be experienced as a result of living life through Banana Cream Pie.

Serve it to anyone and everyone you so desire and utilize the ingredients to your fullest potential.

I realize that the amounts of all the ingredients I have contained in this recipe are quite excessive but it is a global pie meant to feed the souls of as many as possible.  The frosting is also excessive but it is the Law of Attraction, and that’s exactly where you want to get really excessive in your vision and life.  You will attract exactly what you think and believe!

Life’s Lessons!

Discovering the Silver Lining

We all have many lessons to learn throughout our lifetime and of course the lessons are different for every one of us.  No two people are alike, therefore no two lessons will be alike, there may be similarities but they are uniquely designed for each of us.  How we experience them depends on many factors, for instance below are what I believe are the factors I needed to allow myself to move forward in my life towards my purpose and passion.

1)      I had to be Open

–          If my mind and heart were not open I would not be in an available space of mind to be able to receive the signs and guidance I was given.  Not everything comes in the package we expect and sometimes we have to expand our awareness to understand.

2)      I had to be in Alignment ( Law of Attraction )

–          To be in alignment with the  universe and all that it has to offer I had to be in a positive state of mind.  What you think of is what you attract, if I was in a negative state of mind I would attract everything that I don’t want because those would be the dominant thoughts.

3)      I had to be Aware

–          The bigger picture is my goal and where I want to get to.  Along the way are just the daily routines and obstacles that I could not afford  let bother or impede me and keep my eye on the prize.

4)      I had to be Objective

–          I had to work very hard to learn to be objective when reflecting on my experiences, it can be very difficult to step outside yourself and look at a situation objectively when you are emotionally connected.

How we perceive the signs, guidance and lessons we are given is something that is specifically hard-wired to each of us as individuals, the ultimate key is to be open within your mind and your heart and let your imagination flow.

I believe that everything that we experience is divinely connected to a higher power and that there is a master plan only we are not aware of it.  I say this because in looking back I’ve found that I needed all the experiences I’ve had up to this point to get to where I am now, without them I may not have gone in the direction I am going or it may have taken much longer than it already has.  My experiences have helped to prepare me for the future I am meant to live and I know it doesn’t stop here, there are many more experiences that I’m sure are on the horizon (good and bad) that will help elevate me to the level I need to be at to make the contribution in this world that I want to make and that I am meant to make.

In or Out of the Zone

Operating within the Law of Attraction

I’ve found this week to be quite enlightening and it’s given me a heightened sense and understanding of the Law of Attraction.  I found that last week I was a little off simply because I allowed certain situations to become something I stressed about.  By keeping myself in this area I was not operating within the core of the Law of Attraction.

To clarify what I’m trying to get across I’m going to use this analogy – Imagine that there is a huge party going on inside an arena and you can see everyone in there having a great time and they are all radiating positive, exuberant energy.  You want to be in there but you just don’t have that same positive energy and exuberance going on because you are allowing someone or something to inhibit that positivity from flowing (you’re in a bad mood) so instead you are on the outside looking in.  It’s not because you don’t want to be in there but you’re not open to absorbing or contributing to the positive energy in the center.  Negativity cannot stand or survive within a positive environment, it repels from it, that is why there are certain people we are drawn to and certain we avoid.

The Law of Attraction is a positive state of being, but picture it as a huge vibrational ball of energy and at the core is where everyone who is “in the zone” is hanging out, experiencing life positively and outwardly projecting all that their inner spirit has to offer.  When you are truly being yourself, no pretense, you will find that even though this is the easiest thing to do, it’s also the most natural and naturalness flows effortlessly.  It’s that naturalness that is most in tune with your higher self and inner spirit and it’s through that that you will find your higher calling and purpose and of course most gratifying life.

I noticed that when I turned things around (flipped that switch) and stepped back into the zone that everything picked up immediately, and I do mean immediately.  The universe knows when we are in and out of sync with ourselves and attracts accordingly.  Even though I thought I had a great read on myself, what I needed to do, and how in control I thought I was, I discovered this week that my thoughts (no matter how small) play an extremely prominent role in my daily reality.  I already knew this but I had not realized that even the miniscule thoughts and ideas played a part in taking me entirely “out of the zone”.

Out of the Law of Attraction, out of my positive state of being, out of the zone!

The strongest asset I  have on my side is my awareness and having that awareness heightened to recognize the most minute detail having an effect on my daily life will definitely change how determined I will be in the future to prevent it from taking me out of the zone.  Every little piece of our psyche counts in contributing to our overall sense of being and learning to recognize and redirect it to the positive will provide a more fulfilling daily life.

I have attached a very powerful You Tube video featuring Esther Hicks and it’s the video that helped to bring me into the zone and one I watch when I feel out of sync.  Being in a state of appreciation can really bring you back into the zone by showing you the greater importance in life.

Sorry all, it’s 7 ½ minutes long but if you have the time it’s well worth it, as are all of the videos put out by Esther and Jerry Hicks.

My biggest excitement today is my daughter’s birthday ( Felicity is 13 years old )

Happy Birthday my beautiful Girl!

Envisioning Your Future

Seeing is Believing, Believing is Seeing

For myself, the beginning of this process was to first determine what it was that I really wanted out of my life.  This wasn’t something I was able to do instantaneously, it definitely took some serious reflection on where I’ve been, where I wanted to go, how I wanted to get there and who I wanted there with me.  In making that determination I had to remain true to my inner desires without compromising my inner self.  The course that I wanted to chart felt like a very natural progression and I knew I could easily fit into it without having to alter myself in any way.

When trying to figure out your ultimate calling these factors are very important, it should be a natural fit with who you already are.

Once I had it all figured out, it then transitioned so easily and so naturally that I wondered why I hadn’t discovered this path before.  I knew that I wasn’t living up to my true potential, I knew that I didn’t feel fulfilled.  There was always something that I felt I was supposed to be doing but couldn’t quite put my finger on it.

What I had been doing that prevented this natural transition, was resisting, although I didn’t know it until I had stopped.  The foundation of the resistance that I was creating was due to my indecision about what I wanted to envision for my future.  I couldn’t begin to believe if I didn’t know what it was that I wanted to see.

Once you allow yourself to imagine the life you want, it becomes that much easier to create it.  I wrote out my own little “To Do” list with the steps in an order that would best help me to reach my ultimate goal.  Making this list was the easiest part of preparing for my future all I had to do was follow the steps I had planned out, if one didn’t work out as expected, I would re-organize my steps.

Visualization isn’t easy for everyone if you are having a tough time with it, then create a vision board and make sure you have it in a place where you will see it every day.  After a while you will be able to see your vision board in your mind without being in front of it, you can make mental alterations if you want to.  At that point you are now Visualizing, and doing it on your own.

There’s a reason why we go through the events we do and it is because they are the necessary steps that shape us into the people we need to be so we have all the tools we need for the future we are destined for.  Each event is designed to teach us something and the victory is when you’ve identified the lesson and used it to enhance your own personal growth.

I have used the Law of Attraction for many years and I can honestly say that everything I’ve ever really wanted and put my conscious and subconscious mind into I’ve achieved.  Anytime that something hasn’t worked for me wasn’t because the Law of Attraction wasn’t working it’s because I was blocking it in some way.

Keep your mind and heart open, see what you want and believe in it.  The more you believe in it, the more you will see it.

Full Steam Ahead

Changing your Thinking, Changes your Life!

I seek to inspire and motivate those that wish to be inspired and those that feel they have no options.  I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, what we think about is what we attract.  The Law of Attraction (LOA) is always operating, positively or negatively.  Your thinking is what drives the happenings in your life, changing your thinking effectively changes the outcome of your reality.  If you want to achieve or attain something within your life, your belief on if it’s a possibility for you will determine if it does in fact become a reality.  If you want your circumstances to change, changing your thought process is the way to begin.

You can alter the direction of your life simply by changing your thoughts to work for you.  Wouldn’t you rather have your life going in a direction that you are guiding?  At times I’ve felt that my life was controlled or directed by circumstance or events but when I’ve thought back the circumstances and events could very well be related to my thought process and the fact that I was utilizing my thoughts incorrectly.

My process has always been thinking and then writing down my possibilities; and from there I take those possibilities and create something like a flow chart.  It’s amazing to see when it’s all laid out like that, that what I initially viewed as “no options” grew into an amazing amount of possibilities.  The more I explore these possibilities, the more my options grow.

Another part of this process has been to change my state of mind and being.  Instead of thinking of what I don’t want in my life, I’ll try to think of what I want and live in that gratitude or state of being.

I’ll thank the Universe for bringing only positive people into my realm or give thanks for that job that suddenly popped up that I wanted.  In my case right now I have 2 more books that I’m working on and when I get thoughts and ideas to put into these books I give thanks, and then more thoughts and ideas come along.

I know this may sound crazy to some but it’s really how it works and it’s so simple and free.  Why not give it a try?

1)      Note where you are at now

2)      What you want to attract

3)      Give thanks when you receive any one of these wants

4)      Keep doing that process over and over

I’ve been amazed myself at how simple it is to change your thoughts and that one simple change can alter your whole outlook and reality.  The LOA is a very powerful state of mind and being, it doesn’t cost you a thing.  Maintain a strong focus to change your thoughts to work for you instead of against you and I can assure you, you will not be disappointed.

We’re All Human

Respect and Forgiveness for yourself first!

We all have many challenges and tests throughout our lives, some are much harder than others and when we are in the middle of the harder lessons it can sometimes be really difficult to find the light at the end of the tunnel.  Once you finally come through it though it’s important to recognize and honor how much you have learned and progressed from it.  Have gratitude for having the strength to make it through and all that you’ve learned about yourself along the way.

I always find that at the beginning of something difficult I try to find answers and solutions.  It’s hard for me to have patience and it challenges my faith in my own belief that “Everything happens for a Reason”.

Whether you’re successful or not depends on how you view it.  Everything happens for a reason, success or failure could be exactly that reason.  I find that the expectations I have for myself are so high that I don’t allow myself any room for error, when I fail I am very hard on myself.  So it’s very likely that when I experience failure, that is the lesson – to allow myself to make mistakes and handle them with integrity and to know that NO ONE is perfect so why should I expect perfection from myself 100% of the time.  Eventually the understanding of each lesson will come at the time when you are ready to accept it for the greater purpose it serves.

It’s so important to acknowledge where you’ve come from, how you got there, and the person you have become along the way.

When we hold on to resentment or anger ultimately we are hurting ourselves, not the people we have these feelings toward, and what we are really holding onto is the hurt.  In forgiving you are allowing yourself to move on and away from the terrible feelings, you’re allowing yourself to no longer hurt and to move forward to a happier life.  It’s such a hard thing to do but I can assure you, you can’t even imagine how much better life will be when you do.  Make the shift , forgive and move on to happiness, the LOA (Law of Attraction) will increase that state of being.

Get it, girl!

Just because you are a single mom doesn’t mean you can’t have everything you dream of.  I use the Law of Attraction in many areas of my life, and so far it has never let me down.  Our thoughts are very powerful and we can bring, to our lives and the lives of our children, everything that we need and desire.

I have always used a form of the Law of Attraction ( LOA ). There are a few different variances in definition, but the basis of it is visualizing and believing and remaining in a “State of Being”.  I have always been very good at visualizing what I desire, and being able to visualize makes it that much easier to believe in it.  “Seeing is Believing” and “Believing is Seeing”.

I’ve used the LOA all my life, one example I can give you to better illustrate the beautiful outcome that can be experienced is my daughter.  She was born 3 ½ months premature and weighed only 1 lb, 7 oz.  The doctors kept giving me the usual deadlines; the first 12 hrs are critical, the next 24 hrs are critical, and so on.  I could visually see in my mind so clearly that she was going to make it and come home with me.  She blew every doctors warning out of the water, and they were stunned but kept saying that my positive attitude would be very good for her.  Of course it would, I knew that, and I would just smile to myself and say to them again, “She’s coming home with me”.  They didn’t realize that I had the Ultimate Secret in my pocket: it was the Law of Attraction.

The same concept was what I used in getting that job I wanted, getting that car I wanted, writing my 1st book. I’m not done: more of my work will follow.  You can have anything you want as long as you believe in yourself and your dreams.

You can find motivation in other single moms who may be on a different path because we all have one thing in common.  We work hard to make our children’s lives be all that they can be.

There are so many times I could have just decided to give up and blame it on being a single mom, having a special needs child.  It’s definitely a difficult journey but we all deserve to have the life we desire.

Never stop chasing your dreams, don’t ever stop yourself because of a self-imposed limit that you can’t do it, or you’re past the age of achieving, there is no such thing as “too late”.  I think you deserve it!
